The Bennington Triumph Bash doesn’t officially begin until Friday, but many of us will be arriving throughout the day on Thursday. People will meet up for dinner, and those of us camping will get together at the Greenwood Campsites later in the evening. Check the discussion forum for plans in the making.

Friday, May 31, 2013

Arrive in Bennington, check into hotels, etc. If you’re already around and want to meet up with other folks for a ride, use our discussion forum to make plans.

Noonish
Meet other BTB attendees for lunch, if so desired, at the Bennington Station restaurant. The restaurant is adjacent to the parking lot where we'll be meeting at 1:30. Click here to see the restaurant’s menu.

1:30-3:00pm
Meet in the parking lot that runs between Depot Street and River Street in downtown Bennington (south end of the lot -- if you’ve attended the BTB before, this is the same lot where we’ve always had the Friday Meet&Greet). We will spend a short time hanging out and saying hi to everyone.

3:00-7:00pm
Then at 3pm it’s kickstands up and hit the road for a ride over to Top of the Hill Grill BBQ in Brattleboro. We’ll have a buffet set up for us there with two meats, three sides, and drinks; cost will be $17. Please bring cash and find Alan at the Meet&Greet (ask around for him) to prepay. If you prefer, you can also prepay via Paypal; there’s more info, a link to the Paypal payment page, and a poll to determine a rough head count in this discussion forum thread.

If 3pm in Bennington is too early for you to make it, feel free to meet up with us at Top of the Hill Grill at 5pm instead. When you get there, find Alan to pay for dinner.

We’ll have dinner, hang out for a while, then ride back to Bennington.

7:00-9:00pm
Party/bonfire at the Greenwood Campground. Come hang out with other BTB attendees, catch up with old friends and meet new ones. Afterwards, head back to town to hit up the bars in downtown Bennington with your friends, or stick around the campground, have a beer or two, and tell stories around the campfire deep into the night. Please note that Greenwood does charge a small fee for campground visitors.

Saturday, June 1, 2013

8:00am
Hemmings Motor News will be opening up their museum early for us again. It’s at 222 Main Street in Bennington, which is near the corner of Benmont and West Main.

9:00am
Meet in the Hemmings parking lot (222 Main Street) to join whichever ride group you feel like heading out with.

7:00pm
Dinner/drinks at Bennington Station (same parking lot as the Friday Meet&Greet). See the Saturday Dinner page for more details.

Please preregister for the dinner! We need a reasonably accurate head count in order to keep things as organized as possible, so we’re asking everyone to make a prepaid reservation for dinner. We’ve resisted doing this in the past in order to make things easier on attendees, but unfortunately that makes things very difficult on the restaurant. By having the dinner prepaid and an accurate count of the number of guests, the atmosphere is more casual and more fun for everyone.

Names of preregistered attendees will be printed out; when you get to the Bennington Station for dinner, please check in. We will be using nightclub-style bracelets to indicate who has preregistered, so we’ll give you your bracelet when you check in. You must have a bracelet to eat!

After dinner we’ll be holding a 50/50 raffle, with proceeds going to charity. Also, your dinner bracelet will enter you into a door prize drawing. Thanks to our generous sponsors, we’ll have a number of great prizes.

Sunday, June 2, 2013

Sleep in, meet up with newfound friends for breakfast if you feel like it, then ride out and head homewards.

How much is this all going to cost me?

In the grassroots spirit of the Bennington Triumph Bash, we're not charging anyone admission to any events. However, donations would be gratefully accepted to help offset costs. Additionally, please buy raffle tickets -- the proceeds will cover whatever expenses are left after donations (if any), and everything beyond that will be donated to charity.

Important note!

Due to the inherently risky nature of motorcycling, we will need all attendees to the 2013 Bennington Triumph Bash to sign a liability release form before participating in any rides or activities. Click here to download the release form. We will also have forms on hand at the BTB.
