How about a campground ? 09' Bennington , VT.

Have questions about the event or the area? Want to plan a ride in with others who are coming? Here's the place for it.

What ever it takes Mark I will be in there on Wens so if you need me to do some stuff before the majority hits town get me a list sounds like Todd will be in early as well as Speed . We got plenty of time so I am sure plans will change many times before they are carved into stone.

Have we picked out a camp site yet?
I didn't see any where in this thread that we did.
I will more then likely be camping just because of price.
I sure hope that we will have double the attendees.
Last year was great and this year will be even better.

Guys I dont know which but the Greenwood and Pine hollow all take reservations and both are like 8to9 miles from Bennington. Pine Hollow looks a little more upscale but really wanted Tim to weigh in on the matter since this was really his Idea from last Bash so Tim if you get the time post up.

If we were going to Curtis' again, I was gonna take 91 up one exit to skip Brattleboro all together. Man that traffic sucked!! I look forward to Tito's new selection! I don't know what my job situation will be by next spring, so I may be camping just based on cost. I have a bag and thermarest, and I can pick up a cheap tent.
02 BA, lots of goodies...
I may live in NY, but I grew up in VT! I'm a local for this one...

Benny both places have heated bath houses and restrooms. Hot water and its going to be May so temp is not going to be a problem and if we got any rain both have big pavilions. I dont want to spend $130 a night $520 compared to $80 to camp for Tina and myself.

I have nothing but good things to say about Greenwood Lodge. The campsite was beautiful, huge, clean. The lady that ran the place was really nice and when I checked us out of the site she told me that we were welcome back any time. The final cost of staying there was only $8 per person per night. The lodge has a heated bathroom and shower, a game room, pool table, wi-fi. There's a hostel there too for those who'd like to party with the campers but not sleep in a tent. There's a store right across the street that has plenty of bug spray and beer. They were even nice enough to bring a port-a-potty out to our campsite at no extra charge so that we wouldn't have to walk to the lodge to shit. As long as people are looking for my opinion, I don't think there's need to try out a different place, I'd happily throw all of our business their way again.

Yeah Jimmy, he said that alright! This just keeps getting better. I do believe we should call them prior to the event and make sure they are well stocked.

Todd we need to deplete my supply of Yengling and Landshark and Dog Fish prior to running to the store unless people we dont like show up the we will go get some domestic and put in a seperate cooler LOL. Who wanted the Yengling anyway was that Brett or Benny. I figured two cases of each would be for a good start and have a six pack rule you show up with a six pack and get some grub we should be well stocked from night to night . Yeah Hank I will bring some Coors Light just for you I think I am allowed through NY with 8 cases Total. Wensday we will make a food soda run and paper plates plastic sporks and what ever else we need to get this shindig on its way.

I don't know how much riding we plan on doing but the camping end of it is sounding better and better. Friends dont let Friends drink crappy beer.
