I have to say that I will be there in time to actually smoke one with you. I arrived to late this past may to enjoy one with you. I was very sad about that. I will only ask for a good tasting cigar. I am open to any kind of cigar.

I hope that the trade embargo gets lifted off of cuba so we can enjoy some cubans on the free market.

Hey Doc cigars are like beer bring what you like and if we don't like them then tuff shit thats what I did last year with the beer. Are you going to hang out at the camp ground ? If so then I will buy you a beer hell doc I might even bring a bottle of of some southern sippen wiskey this year.

Last years cigars were excellent. I didn't get to smoke mine until later and I don't think I thanked you. Thank You.

Well I can vouch for both the beer and the cigars. First, if price of the beer is any indication of the quality (and I believe it is) that Dogfish Head brew at Jimmys after hours party cost 9.00 for a four pack up here. As for the cigars, if they are the same brand (Cohibas?) as the ones Doc brought over to Bruces cookout then they are a fine smoke indeed.
Wait, did someone say sipping whiskey? Key word here folks would be (sipping). That knowledge so painfully ill gained is the difference between barking at the moon and yelling at your boots.

I have noticed that sippin whiskey tends to get smoother as the quantity consumed increases

While the sipping whiskey gets smother the vison gets fuzzier. I think that they might be connected.

A man has to know his limits. This is going to be a long winter of planning but you can count on one thing. THERE WILL BE BEER and a couple of screw top mason jars floating around the campfire. Just dont spill the jar in the campfire outcome will not be good. The last time a good friend tried to relight the fire and it flared up and he dropped the whole jar and lost his eye lashes. So Doc I think you could bring what ever you want it will be a hit trust me. Todd do not worry the dog fish brewery is 13 miles from my house so it will be making the trip and the cost when I arrive is free having a beer with new friends and old family is priceless other then the damn hangover in the morning.

I'm really getting a visual on the campfire scene and to me it's lookin like a "Halmark moment" with the beer, whiskey, and ? going round. Yes, my new old friend and friends this Winter will be long but I believe expectations of a good time will be exceeded again this year as well.

Jimmy, even though it likely wasn't funny at the time ( a whole jar gone ) I bet you guys laugh about it now. I'm thinking there's going to be a "hey watch this" moment or two.
Used to work with a guy at the shipyard in Groton years ago and he didn't come in to work for about a week so I figured he was probably on vaca but when he came back he was limping a little and I got the story straight from him. So he's at this party with a campfire going and he's getting shitfaced and figures on riding out of there while he still can manage to kick over his bike. He fires it up then recalls a scene from a Marlon Brando movie where a guy rides his bike through a campfire and in his delirium figures he'll look as cool doing that too. He managed to get right in the middle of it before the rear tire spins on a log and the bike kicks out dumping him right in the middle of it.
He gets out of it pretty quick but not before it burns his ass enough to need medical attention. He said the nurses where trying not to laugh at the burly biker with his ass hanging out on the table getting some air while waiting for the bandages to be applied.
Didn't matter if you heard the story a hundred times it would always make you double over with laughter.
