I got off very lucky in this wreck...still I'm pretty bruised up. I got bruises where I didnt know I had'em.

Today this is what I look like...

Image

I probably shouldnt post other pics...I am under the influence of good drugs..( prescription drugs )...as well as good beer :)

Coop is maintaining the attitude that the bike should be repairable considering the amount of money invested. While I have considered this bike a rider from the very begining...( garage queens are worthless pieces of shit )...it was scheduled to be in the invite only Metzler Tire Bike Show at Sturgis this year.

The bike was also supposed to be in a magazine as well...

In my opinion...they are going to want to total the bike..insurance companys are in the business to make money. Theres no money to be made burning me a check to fix this thing. The swingarm was pushed into the trans, oil lines are pinched off, and the frame is bent.

I have anxiety about this that I cannot find the words to describe...the drugs are helping..but bottom line is I'm a fuckin wreck over how this is all gonna go down.

I know I'm fortunate..the bike isnt more important than me..but..I'm a biker. I'm not a enthusiast..I'm not motorcyclist...I'm a biker. It is a part of me...it's what I do.

Today I couldnt stand it anymore and took the bonneville out to breakfast..I was kinda shakey. It didn't feel comfortable..but it felt good if ya can follow that.

Friday at 11 am I am supposed to meet the other insurance companys appraiser at coop's...we'll see how this all goes down. I anticipate they are going to want to total the bike.

I wanna say thank you for your concern..all of you. It is very much appreciated.

Sheldon,

I work in a Toyota dealership out in the service department. I have seen way too many vehicles fixed that should have been totaled. If you know your frame is bent, it will never be right again. If they want to total it, then push for retail value plus custom work. Make sure you do some research on how much it will cost you to replace and build another bike. Never sign off on anything until you get what you want. The biker in you will understand, the man in you will win. Good luck, heal fast.

Well..theres no way the frame isnt bent....if it's fixed the frame is gonna be replaced..as well as the swingarm...and other damaged parts.

This is gonna be a costly ordeal, which is why I got all the anxiety..I dunno how its gonna go down.

I hear ya' Trim.We have had some good weather so far and I'd give anything to ride but I'm not physically able to yet.I need to get out to the garage and start fixing some of the bent up shit on it. At this point , I'm a little limited as well. (Fuckin' Crutches)
Those are some nasty ass bruises you got.I don't blame you for feeling anxiety. Just go with the thought that it will all work out. Let us know,we'll be wondering as well. Speed.

How ya' holdin' up Mr. ? Just curious , what was the reason for the cagers' incapacity to stop before they smashed in to your rear end ? Their eyes too close together to be operating moving machinery ? cell phone ? intoxicated ?
I don't mean to pry , I'm just befuddled at what goes through some of these peoples minds and their inability to respect or recognize others(us bikers) on the roadway.
Hope your feeling better. Bike news ?
Speed.

Met with the appraiser today...coop's estimate is approx 70% of total investment in the bike...I'm gutted.
