Mark and Tito

You guys have me getting excited about the trip and I'm not even going. Have a great time.

Tito is possible to smell the roses on one wheel while doing the ton?

Tito, have a good, safe trip to Nova Scotia. Look me up when you come back through Maine.

I spent the weekend doing trip prep. Changed the oil and adjusted the chain on the V-Strom on Saturday, finished up a couple of minor projects, then started packing on Sunday. My waterproof duffel is fucking huge -- I may actually need to bring more clothes than originally planned just to keep it from being too floppy due to being half-empty.

Finishing up a big project at work this week, got a few final odds and ends to finish packing, then Friday morning we're off.

I can't wait to be on the road.

Paul!

I can do the TON on the Vstrom easily but no wheelies. Yes I will smell the roses and the fresh ocean air.

Ripping some back roads!

edbot, Nepatroits9 and I are planning a trip for next year. rbcathlos proposed it and got the ball rolling, He has family duty preventing him from going. Drop me an email if you interested, that goes for any others that might want to go.

I wouldn't say that and don't count me out. If your planning a trip on the cheap, I may be able to swing it.

Tito and Mark,
I'm looking forward to reading about your travels.

Tripping

Postby TonUp » Thu Jul 03, 2008 7:23 am

Clothes are packed, gear picked out, inside of helmet freshened, and my new SIDI waterproof boots came in yesterday. Adjusting my right mirror, chain and air pressure today. Going over bike this morning.

Big trip, big group

Postby TonUp » Thu Jul 03, 2008 7:26 am

Always wondered what it would be like to go on a big trip with a large group, 20 or more bikes.

I wonder!

I'm skipping the July 4th fireworks in Burlington tonight (yes, I know it's only the 3rd -- Burlington has them a day early so as not to conflict with all the surrounding small towns). Going to head home after work and finish packing, pull the last odds and ends together, and practice loading up the bike.

Can't wait to get going tomorrow morning!
