I need to print out the list I emailed you and put it up on my fridge so I can start crossing things off it.

I think I've bought pretty much everything I need, so at this point I mainly just need to take care of stuff like re-waterproofing my tent, changing the V-Strom's oil, and test-packing to see how much storage I need.

I've been playing around with my new GPS, and it's wicked cool. Still bringing maps though -- too hard to get the big-picture view on a GPS.

Jeez, all these last minute ideas are surging thru my brain! Should I get additional lighting to make my bike more visible? Will my Rev'It suit be flexible enough for all conditions or should I add mesh and kevlar pants to the mix? Is my insurance valid in Canada? Will everything fit on the bike? Will Tito pull over now and then so I can take pictures?

Pete!

I plan on taking lots of pictures, no need to worry! 300-350 mile day are easy. 8-9 hours at a very slow pace. Normally I travel 400 before lunch but this ride is different, I want to smell the roses.

Nova Scotia was a fantastic trip.

Here is my write up: http://www.triumphrat.net/ride-trip-rep ... cotia.html

Also, if you go to Cape Bretton, bank on two days, one day to go clock-wise, and a second to go couter-clockwise, its worth it !! The views are unreal.

Also, if you have AAA, most motels took it and offered discounted rates. Also, monitor your fuel, not a whole lot of gas stations in the rural areas.

We made it from Boston to Machias, ME in one day, then Machias to Amherst, Nova Scotia by the second day.

We went at the end of August, and even then, mornings were quite cool, 50-60's, and got quite warm in the afternoon, 80's. So we dressed in layers, and were adjusting layers with each stop.

Tito, that is a bummer. I'm going camping that weekend so I can scout the area that I am going moose hunting. Maybe on the return trip? I'll check back with you as the time gets closer.

Oh, one more thing, you will find this out, watch the shoulders, they use gravel on the shoulders in Nova Scotia, and it often spills into the driveways and entrance ways to parking lots.

Thanks for the tip, sounds just like Vermont. I am so ready for this trip, I have wanted to go for about 10 years and now it is finally happening.
