I think the byob is not a bad idea but what about a campground or some such place with grills already set up for such events. Not far down the road from my house is a local area people use for large family gatherings with a pavillion and large charcoal grills. Wondering if such a place exists in the Bennington area. Even though the parking lot for the first meet and greet was within walking distance most everyone rode their bikes so if it's within a few miles no biggie.

is it byob = bring your own bike?

The bring your own BBQ?

I know bring your own beer, however I really liked the guinness and the scottish red from mels. I wonder if mel could hook use up with a half keg of the red? I might not leave the side of the tap though. Red beer, red bbq sauce, hmmmm hmmmm... I'm ready to start practicing on my ribs this summer, just so I can help Hedge with some of the cooking chores.

No worries man. I just don't want to miss it cause I didn't hear about it! Kim's friend's bithday is on the 4th, so there's a chance we'll have a conflict anyway. Tell Charlie not to worry about it. We can always do a tech day later in the year or something. We don't need no stinkin holiday!

Excellent idea in my opinion! We stayed at Greenwood Lodge and Campsites which is 8 miles outside of Bennington, I know that's a bit far to be drinking at but... The place was great, a very clean campground, plenty of space, we were the only people there that weekend, they even brought a port-a-potty to the vicinity of our campsite just so we wouldn't have to walk all the way to bathroom. Above all that, the lady that ran the place loved us so I'm on really good terms with her. If having a get together/ BBQ/ Party there is something every one is interested in I could give them a call.

I think Benny is right if it is to much pressure on Good Ole' UncleCharlie. Whatever his decision is I have his back!

I dont care if you stick with a pen knife as long as you get one after the story you told me about last years hunt. We will keep in touch over the hunting season I dont hunt deer anymore but could put you on some sweet areas here if you had the likeing to travel on a hunting trip in the future.

Jimmy,

I'll keep you posted on how the hunting season goes this year. I love travel hunting to new areas, nut don't you have radiated deer there? From the New Jersey reactor melt down? :) sorry just poking fun.

You could sit in my old deer stand and on a average night see 10 to 12 deer and 10,000,000 mosquitoes couple hundred squirrels and a few foxes but no Moose or bear. I live along way away from the Salem Power Plant 80 or so. Might be why the women act so funny down here LOL.

Jimmy, I would put up with 10,000,000 mosquitoes as long as there was no black flies or deer ticks with lyme disease. If the economy straightens out or my financial setting improves I will take you up on the offer.I go to Ohio about once a year to deer hunt.

Sorry guys didn't mean to hijack the post.
