+1 on Bennington next year, if you all are willing to have us again. I would even be willing to go down to 'Bama, love that place. I draw the line at going West of Mississippi, strange folks live out there.

Music was fine, Mark was right can't please everyone, and whether you liked it or not those kids played their asses off and you have to respect that.

Did I mention I had a great time and was pissed the whole trip home with Brett that the damn thing was over.

Mark you guys did a great job for what we started with. I didn't care for the Ska band but wtf I like the blues band . I didn't realize everyone was upstairs the girl at the door at Madisons told me the only thing they had left was upstairs and I saw most guys sitting downstairs. To all that stopped by the room 163 patio bar at the paridise we never ran out of beer or sodas or good stories and great people thanks for all the laughs . We will do a ride when the group wants to do it end of summer middle of the fall season doesn't matter if someone has an idea lets here it but as this one goes it was the first and no it didn't go off without a few problems but it went better then most because no one got hurt or worse we sent everyone back home without hospital costs.

As far as the loudness issue, it's impossible to play rock and roll quietly in such a small space. The only thing going through the PA system was the vocals -- so the volume of the show is entirely dependent on the acoustic volume of the drums, and drums are fucking loud. We should have thought to hand out earplugs to people.

Obviously not everything went perfectly, nor will it ever be possible to make everyone 100% happy. But I was extremely pleased at how well things did go.

You nailed it Mark. I wished I remembered my ear plugs! And I think Bob and his blues band did a good job with the crowd, and it was great to see him since I've known him since I was a kid!

And I do agree with some of Hanks observations, and we talked about it and hey, it's growing pains! Considering its the first year, it went really well. An accurate head count REALLY would have helped a lot!

Just an idea... Maybe next year hand out little raffle tickets at the tire kicking event as a sort of "entrance ticket" to the pizza, AND as a way to get an approximate head count? Then people can give them to Tito on the way in and anyone else who shows we can just order more as needed. Not to keep people out, but but it may regulate it somewhat.

The New England States Rock , Now I've been formally chartered as a Connecticut Rocker... I have my patch. I have no qualms anywhere on the eastern seaboard. However I sure did like the Green Mountains I must admit. Speed. P.S. I thought it all went together quite well.

Over all a tremendous job Mark.

Never liked punk rock, even when I was younger than I am now. So it really didn't matter how loud it was. I was with the 5 or 6 out front of the place, almost a minute after it started. The others, who clearly were shaking their heads, they will let you know I'm sure. Short of killing anyone of course (hedge).

Don't be afraid to ask for a deposit for rooms, bands, food, in advance. Helps with planning, ads to your admin time, but works.

P.S. Music is Music. It was loud but not as loud as the Deep Purple I used to listen to. I left after 5-6 gigs with the SKA band , had the Iron skillet steak with bourbon sauce , Irish Fries appetizer , house salad , absolutely delicious. Fairly beat down after gorging myself , was ready for siesta after that , no doubt , in fact got "a little grouchy , or so , the wife said." Rode in Madison's famished.... Rode out in a daze didn't get a chance to stop by Jimmy's room for the 3 A.M. after party to socialize .... the build up of excitement that the evening / weekend had to offer .... I was more than ready to crash.

Thanks Steve, I agree. I had an amazing time from start to finish. There are so many great memories of this weekend! My only regret is that I didn't get to talk to each and every person who attended.

Mark - that was my only regret as well. I wish I was able to spend enough time with every person who attended so I could properly remember faces to names. Other than that - I haven't had this much fun since I was a kid on drugs!

I agree. Although I still wish that I could have mingled more , like Mark said , next year i will be better prepared to do so. Oh, by the way Brett , your right , this website has saved my ass more than once !

Hey Mark Next year I will aid in the planning of a after the tire kicking party so we all can sit around and have a beer or soda and tell stories of the old days and maybe do a cook out picnic type of event and we can call it the after hours bar and grill. Man I have not one thing that was upsetting for me not to come back. It was one of the best events I have been to nothing but kudos to the people that put things together. I think we need to start planning as soon as the effects of the weekend wear off. Just remember anytime you can pull that many people together and not have 1 fight or serious wreck where someone has to go to the hospital it was first rate in my book.
