Tito.....I'm avoiding the highways on this trip down. thanks for the link. I'm not coming from the longest or hardest, but for me it is my longest 1 way trip and longest round trip. Not sure how my ass is going to feel but oh well, I'll suffer for good bar-b-que.

I just checked out the website......I have to stop and try his bbq. A man after my own heart. YUM-YUM!!!

Brett. You can also grab 11 or 12 in NH and shoot down the eastern side of the river, then cut over to springfield or something. There's ways. Definitely don't waste time going all the way west to 7, it's not a great road anyway. If anything cut down 100! If it means missing or not missing the diner, you could jump on 91 for a few exits to make some time.

Yeah I see the possibilties are endless. I'll have several routes planned to take so I can adjust the route as I go. I am set that no highways will be rode on the way down. Even if they can save me 10 minutes.

ya, again, please tell me there is some kind of Triumph exclusivity to this thing, I mean something. If not, I'm not traveling down from Maine to be shut out of the Fort Party cause the local HOG group shows up en-masse and over takes the Forte or our planned festivities.

But you know what would be fun, is standing atop of said fort and throwing water balloons on the other groups(insert any hated brand/goup here) who try to get in...thats always a hoot!
Well done is always better than well said.

we can't tell what happens at madison's as i hadn't the cash to totally reserve the restaurant. therefor we can't dictate who comes sat nite. if you see the fort party post, i believe that i addressed the triumph concern.

Rules are rules

Postby TonUp » Tue May 27, 2008 7:25 am

At the FORT we will all follow Robins rules, she is our host. If you have a problem with that come see me or Paul.

I am sure we are all going to have a great time and make new friends. The FORT is a private party, as Robin mentioned Madison's is a public place.

See you all Friday! Relax! Relax! Relax! Take a deep breath and smile. No need to get all tense. We are here to have fun.

Will the roof top of the Fort be able to support vats of hot oil & tar so if need be we simply pour it over the top down onto the Mongrel invaders?

sling shots, with the ends sharpened (for hand to hand combat) that's what we defend with.
no vats of boiling oil, it's so barbaric

Shoulda let us know we needed some extra cash to reserve it! I bet we could have come up with it collectively. You guys did SOOO much planning and wouldn't even entertain any help!! Just so ya know, I'm happy to contribute more for next year. And maybe with any extra funds we generate this year we can reserve it!! Again, thanks for taking on SO much with this! I bet next year will go super smoothly with what you've learned from it.

A thought about entry to the fort. Show your Duct Tape Badge with online name as identification. It would act as a filtering device. You could let others pass if you choose. Of course, who's got every name memorized?

It'll be fine.

You'll still get your chance to help out!

The bands are costing us some money, and we ended up having to rent a PA for the music because the one we were going to use is broken. And Husbands may have to rent a trailer to bring the PA with them because their van is pretty full. So we've got some last-minute expenses cropping up.

Therefore, we're very much hoping that the more enthusiastic members of the BTB community (ie, you guys) will encourage all the other attendees to make contributions to the donation jars.

We can issue you poking sticks if you like. :)
