fort party

Postby bonniegirl » Mon May 26, 2008 5:17 pm

i'd really like the fri nite party to be triumph peeps or REALLY closely associated with triumph peeps as not to have 7 million strange peeps running around. there are a few non triumph riders that i ride with coming fri nite.

roof rule is 10 max peeps so we'll have to smoke in shifts out there or go downstairs.
no throwing anyone over, there isn't a rail so if you're drunk, stay in the middle :)

party closes at 10p so i can get some sleep (i have to open the cafe fri morning getting up at 4:45) and will be beat after that and riding and pizza and a few beers & i hate riding with a hangover. there are a number of nice and not so nice little pubs on main street and the nearby streets if anyone wants to continue with party.

i'm pretty sure that a friend of mine is coming over to play us some folky guitar and my 19 y/o ironworker fortmate also plays and he may get his guitar out if genevieve comes over.

remember no spike heels on the roof!!

Sounds good Robin. The fort shall be loaded with people though. I like the bash attendees rule. :)

Worse comes to worse, have them show their bike registration. If it doesn't say Triumph, you get to choose yay or nay.

Or make the describe the sound of a triple pulse at idle or the roar of a vertical twin with a TOR exhaust. IF they can't then out they go.

Robin,
Yes, that was one of the first things I noticed. I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing her! She's a year older, is she still a sweetie? I don't think she could be anything but.
(Don't tell me she still wants a ride. Big responsibility.)

Oh boy...? Hhhmmm? I did promise, didn't I? Which ride are you taking? I was thinking of the ride with Mark as I've never seen that part of NY.

Oh, by the way, I just heard from Marty (MARDE) and he mentioned maybe meeting you along the way to Putney's on Friday. Are you with that crew or will you be at work? I was thinking we could be at Wilmington when you pass though. Just a thought.

You are a trouper! Marde's on the other site right now and is after me to grab a beer. I've got to run, but let me know your thoughts about what time you may be passing through Wilmington. If we don't hook up, not a big deal as we'll see you all soon after. But veggie style sounds better and better to me lately. If only for health reasons, never mind the positive philosophical thoughts that come with it. (I was a vegitarian years ago. Don't know if I'm ready for that again.)

Okay, gotta run. Beer and Marty are calling. Have a good night and tell the little sweetie if she's on her best behaviour, there's a chance for a ride. (With your written permission!)

Man I'm going to have nice long ride down with Jeff(rbcathlos) and I'm disappointed in missing the bar-b-que. If I leave here at 5:30 - 6:00 I should be in Bennignton about 2:30

If I'm coming down 7 how much out of the way is the Bar-b-que place? What time do you plan on eating? I have never been to VT before so every road is unkown to me.

bret
i don't have a map here, but the BBQ place is in putney right off rt 5. catch that on the way over instead of heading west far enough to catch rt 7. rt 5 is on the absolute east side of the state. putney is about 3/4 of the way down VT. i'm sure that you can meet us there in your time frame. we are leaving bennington at 11:30 and it will probably be there about 1ish.

I just ajusted my route on googlemaps and it only adds 20 minutes. The only problem is road traffic and gas stops. As we get closer I'll call you cafe to give them my cell phone. Take it with you and call me before you head out at 11:30. I'll let you know where we are and then decide if we can meet you. I need to check with Jeff to see if he is up for the side trip. Sounds good to me though.
