I'm gonna run up 7 to 102 to Lee, Ma, then jump on the MA Pike eastbound at exit 2

Tim & I have a tentative plan to meet at the Ludlow service plaza at around 10, which is the first one east of the 91 / 90 interchange

Any & all are welcome

I had the BEST BEST BEST day today!!
Met up with Bill and Whisperinsmith and Marde and some other guys- mostly from TRat ?- and had my favorite meal breakfast (except when it's my other favorite meals of lunch and dinner...), had a beautiful ride to the BIA meet listening to the glorious sounds of Triumphs on a sunny May day.

Most excellent to meet Bill and Marty and John (again :) )...so cool to put faces to folks I'll be riding and hanging with next weekend!

And then we met up with Lzrdking61 (Brian) and Chopperpaul and Bucky and ArsnlTim. And Tim's lovely and sweet new girlfriend!

Great riding day, great weather, great bikes, and most of all, great people to enjoy it all with!

I got a late start due to confounded bike washing. I so rarely practice this evil deed so I have trouble figuring out which side of the sponge to use.

Great day, great people, great bikes, followed by a scenic ride home on route 57 west over to Southfield, MA then down through Norfolk, CT

Stopped for dinner at the Southfield Store - great food, but artistic portions. Couldn't tell if my main meal was the appetizer. Had to have a bowl-a desert to shore up the ration.
Somebody remind me to eat twice as much to make up for it at Curtis' BBQ next Saturday. http://www.curtisbbqvt.com/

Sat out on the front porch of the store while the neighbor's dog helped me with me the bread & butter course. We had a nice long chat about British Iron, long rides on winding trails, and the upcoming election.
He seemed interested in every word, and never interrupted. What a great listener.

A funny thing happened on the way to the BIA!

Left here at 0730 headed south. As I turned off rte3 and got on rte495, three bikes went roaring by me and the lead rider waved. Turns out it was some friends that I've ridden with in the past. Followed them to MotoMart in Acton, MA where we met up with two more old riding buddies, and the day was so beautiful I was easily persuaded to change my plans and ride with them. We headed north and wound up in Brattleboro, VT for a late lunch. It was an absolutely gorgeous day there with many bikes heading west toward Bennington. I can only wish that next weekends weather will be as nice so that those of you coming from a distance can really enjoy the beauty of VT.

My only regret is that I didn't get to the BIA to meet some of you folks before next weekend, especially those that I'll be camping with! Ride safe, Ed.

Bucky and Marde,
Great pictures! How come I don't photograph as well as Triumphgoddess? And I've got to grow my hair back! Creepy.
