I already have a few confirmed for camping, I was just wondering, is there anyone else planning on camping?

Hey Tim,

What's the name of the campsite that you will be staying? I'll stop by. I like the idea of Woodford - more woodsy - but being closer to the action would be cool. I plan on arriving betweeen 9 and 10 AM on Friday and immediately setting up camp, then I'll mosy on downtown to see what's happening.

I am a minimalist by nature - hence the Triumph Bonneville - so I'll have a small pot for coffee, a few cans of food, a few sticks of fatwood to build a fire, my LL Bean candle lantern, a book, sleeping pad, and an awe of nature. I am really looking forward to this trip.

Way back when before my wife decided the pillion was a medieval torture device we made a one-night reservation for Saturday night at the Paradise. My plan was to leave her Sunday morning and ride for a week. Then I decided to join Mark and Tito in Nova Scotia instead, and cut my June trip down to three days so I could trial my camping setup. Then the company moved their foodsafety audit up to the week after the Bash, so I really have to cut the vacation short.

Long story...I'm thinking of coming down Friday and camping out for two nights instead, but would like to be around other RATs if I do it. Any spaces still left near my fellow riders..?

I am sure Woodford has sites - looks like a big place. ArsnTim [?] sent me a mail of where he is staying - Greenwood Lodge and camping - said seven other riders are there. Check it out.

i just found out from a friend that the molly stark state park ( about 1-2 miles after woodford) is open & free. there aren't amenities though. i don't think that there is a contact #, more hike and camp type.

I happened to be in VT yesterday and went by both molly stark and woodford and the gates were closed at both entrances. I'm planning on being at the bash, and was initially going to make just a day trip of it but my daughter is going to take care of my dog so I think I'll stay over at least friday night.

Tried to make a reservation at woodford today but if your within 14 days of the dates you want to reserve you can't reserve online or thru their telephone reservation center.
You have to call woodford direct but woodford doesn't open until memorial day! So, we'll see.

Tim -- Left the cell phone off the charger too long so can't call you tonight, but count me in for Friday and Saturday nights. I'll call tomorrow when I'm charged up to see what sort of supplies you need.

Thanks for thinking of me!

Edbot- I reserved an extra large site at Greenwood Lodge & Campsites, there's no restrictions on how many tents we set up on it. The cost is $8.00 per night per person so if you want to camp with us just let me know.

Tim, appreciate that. If you're sure you have room and don't mind an old retired guy hanging around I'll take you up on your offer. As I mentioned in my other post it looks like it will just be friday night for me. My plan is to head out early friday and try to be there by 10am ( 2.5hr ride depending on traffic). I seem to recall from an earlier post that your reservation is at the greenwood lodge and campsites. Is that correct? Let me know of any details I should be aware of and thanks again. Looking forward to meeting you and all the others! Ed.

Edbot, Boondox,

Th campsite is all reserved and everything. The place is called Greenwood Lodge and Campsites, you can google it for directions. They have showers and heated bathrooms and all that good stuff. All you have to do is show up anytime and stop at the font desk and let them know that you're there with the motorcycle rally group staying at site 10 and that you're one of the possibles (when I reserved the site I told them there were 4 for sure and a handful of possibles.) My plan is to get there early on Friday and ride with the group going to putney for BBQ at 11. The final cost is $8.00 per person per night and they'll take care of that at the front desk. Can't wait to meet you both...
