it would be easy to integrate the putney ride into the equinox ride, but putney is on the east side of the state, mt equinox is on the west side of the state. check the "rides" section of the website.

Hedge, a few of us are hitting the BBQ place, or diner or whatever, friday afternoon. I think the Double Hex will be lunch for the Equinox ride. Good burger joint. The ride is going to take a while cause of the stop at Wilson House and the photo ops on top of the mountain, you WON'T want to miss that!! We'll get some B&J's locally for sure. A trip to Putney Sunday on the way home wouldn't be rediculously out of the way... The B&J factor is north of the northernmost point of any of the rides so far...

Benny - Charlie and I will glady yield to your entire plan. It sounds to us that you are on the same laid back type of rides that we are looking for with the same sites and food stops in mind. You can definitely count us in for BBQ on Friday night; we should be rolling into Bennington somewhere between 2-3pm.

Check the itinerary for Friday... I think the BBQ ride might be more of a lunch thing, I'm just kinda following along on that one.

I'm not that much of a laid back rider, but with speed limits and sherrifs who LOVE NY plates, I won't be breaking any sound barriers either! Plus I like to at least let the group catch up. Don't worry too much about food! You'll eat well.

Ya know, literally next door, maybe two doors up from Double Hex is Laneys. They have some great ribs and chicken, wood fired oven stuff. We could devide and conquor for lunch, or hell just go there! I kinda know them, I'll call ahead and see about a big room.

Hey Robin no fort is complete with out a cannon. Delaware is known for the birth place of pumpkin chunkin as seen on letterman so maybe we could get you a big pumpkin chunkin air cannon for the roof fits in with the enviro friendly theme of the fort and it is a veggie we will be chunkin would save your fingers from lots of sling shot usage please please oh yeah they throw pumpkins almost a mile down here . In fact they had to change sites for the annual nation chunk offs because they put a 12lber threw the roof of a Church 3/4 of a mile across the field. Its in Oct and it is one of the wildest parties you could ever attend .

That sounds like fun I never got to carve pumpkins they didn't allow me to play with sharp objects as a child.

Bonniegirl,
I participated in the gun thread and feel guilty. If my boss approves, I may be in Wilmington Thursday night, wanting to ride on Friday and willing help with preparations if needed.

i never looked at the gun thread, so not to worry. my experience with a bunch of peeps that i don't know toting guns about has not been a positive one. i have no issue with guns. it's the irresponsible idiots that leave them around so their kids shoot each other or themselves, or the ones that get pissed off and wave them around (exhusband and friends) that make me nervous. since only know about 7 of the 50 or so peeps that may show up, I'm more comfortable if there aren't any guns at the fort.

Hey - it's your place, your rules! There is nothing unclear about that!

Fellas - she is simply making a request that when you come to her house you do not need, and you should not be carrying any weapons - period! I can't believe we are even having this discussion. This is a Triumph Motorcycle get together not an NRA get together. The only thing I'm bringing is UncleCharlie's size 12 foot in case anyone pulls wheelies near us or endangers our riding experience in any way!

For those of you who are confused - I am the person who actually was responsible for starting the gun thread. If you read it you will see that all I said was that I found a shooting range in Bennington. A shooting range is a place that has an enclosed environment where responsible shooters can enjoy their hobby in a safe and secure area. I never mentioned or condoned people bringing weapons to the bash, shooting them off in the streets of Bennington or anything else that is stupid; unless you want to find your ass in the Bennington Jail waiting for court to open up on Monday June 2nd and explaining to the local Judge why you are a fucking dumbass!

I'll leave my Swiss Army knife at the motel, but the size 12's go everywhere with me.

Being considerate

Postby TonUp » Sun May 11, 2008 7:38 am

You folks dont have to worry about me any wheelies close to you. I only pull it up next to people I ride with and they know when I am about to do it. I do take my wheelies very seriously, ask Mark and Robin.

When we are out riding on a long ass piece of road with two lanes the passing lane is all mine. and yes the front wheel will be up so bring a camera.

So relax and enjoy the ride!
