Just got the surgeon's info. No problem! A ruptured muscle, not a tendon. It'll heal on its own. See ya in Bennington!

i didn't think that it could be an achilles rupture with pain in the back of the knee.
how did you manage that, or shouldn't i ask :)

Excellent News! However - just take it easy so it heals right! I'm looking forward to seeing you in bennington. I would imagine you will be awarded the "Member who drove the longest distance to get to the Bash" Award! :)

Hedge,
You have me mistaken for Mistermellow. He's riding in from north of Seattle! I'm just coming up from the Cape. (Cape Cod for those not in the know.) But then I'm heading west to L.A. and back. I'll let you know how my leg feels then!

Robin,
I'd rather not say, but you know me and I will tell you. I'm totally ashamed to admit I was golfing and went looking for my ball in the woods (where it normally is) and I saw it up on a hill. I stepped up the hill and onto a branch lying on the ground and heard a "pop". I said immediately, "There goes my trip!". But it's good news. You guys can't get rid of me from the Bash that easily!

My bad - your 100% right, I had you confused with Mellow! Anyway, I'm glad your coming! You might win the "Injured Traveler Awared" !

Hey John

That is good news, So you are good to go Sunday the 18th.
Have you talked with Marty? He has a ride laid out for us.
Going to Providence then towards Jamestown over the bridge then over to the New Port bridge. I am sure we will make some stops along the way.

Do you guys want to meet at my house? since you will be heading that way anyway.
We can go over some plans for the ride up to Bennington.

Your place is fine! Let me know what time to be there. And after listening to your Bonnie's pipes, you won't even hear me creep up your driveway, even though I've got the new TOR on my bike.

Or should Marty and I meet you at the Dunkin Donuts as a trial run?

Whatever you guys decide, just let me know time and place and I'll be there. I'll try to get in touch with Marty to ride over together.

I went to the Star Drive-In last night to test the leg. Once again, I was the only Triumph in a sea of Harleys. But I like that feeling. Unique. I road up with a guy who owns a Yamaha something or other. He said "Let's keep it at the speed limit." Are you kidding me? What biker goes the speedlimit? I'm not a nut, but come on!

(Oh ya, now I remember why I got that ticket in Vermont! Robin, that still brings a smile to my face. I was a little sad I didn't get my hug from the officer though.)

John

I talked with Marty last night and he is ok with meeting at my house too.
I figure you guys show up around 9/9:30
We can go over our plans for the ride up to Bennington.
And then we can head out.
I will e-mail you the directions again to refresh your memory.

Hey Bill,
I've got your place locked in. No need to send directions. I'll try to contact Marty and see if we can ride over together. But on second-thought, it's not that long a ride to your place for us, so I'll just meet you both there between 9:00 and 9:30 unless I hear from him wanting to ride over together.

I want to see how those black headers look!
