I had the HJC CL-Max as well, hated the fogging, traded up for the Arai and loved it. There are so many anti-fogging measures on the RX-7 it's unreal.

Even the $200 Scorpion I just got has terrific anti-fog measures. And they work great -- I rode today in 28-degree weather and never fogged up.

Gear

Postby TonUp » Mon Mar 24, 2008 8:52 pm

Just took my old ARAI out to clean it, I am putting new vents on it tomorrow. I will wait another year for a new helmet. I need the cash for the Nova Scotia trip. Lobsters, Scallops, Mussels, yum!

Dam - who has it better than you Tito? You just hit all my favorite shell fish except you left out the clams and oysters! :-)

Comfy but not much protection. If you crash wearing that type of glove you run the great risk of them being torn off your hands and, even if they stay on, the backs of your hands can slap the pavement pretty hard. A racer friend of mine did exactly that (but with racing gloves) and couldn't use his hands for weeks due to the swelling.

I agree Buce19!

I use racing Gloves with armor Alpine Stars or Joe Rocket on the Sport Bike. Ask me to see my hands. My right one took a long time to heel.

Thanks for your input. Good Point!

I've been using Racer "High End" gloves that I bought from Motowheels. Strange name, I know, but I like them better than any gloves I've had in 30+ yrs. of riding, and I've had several sets of Held gloves. I'm always tempted to go with the stylish and comfy gear (jeans are a perfect example) until I think about how I'll regret it if I go down. Which did happen once when a guy totaled my Ducati. Damn was I glad for that Arai!
