Okay all. Things have finally gelled enough that I feel like I can safely announce the events for the Bennington Triumph Bash.

Friday the 30th
5-6pm -- Meet & Greet in the parking lot that runs between Depot Street and River Street in downtown Bennington (south end of the lot). Ride in, hang out, kick tires, say hi to everyone.
7-10pm -- Party at Robin's. Our own bonniegirl is being nice enough to invite us all into her ginormous apartment known as The Fort for hanging out, pizzas, and beer. Her place is conveniently downtown on Main Street; those wishing to continue partying on into the night can just proceed to the downtown bars around the corner afterwards.

Saturday the 31st
9am -- Meet in the north end of the parking lot from Friday's Meet & Greet (south end will be occupied by the farmer's market) to join whichever ride group you feel like heading out with.
7:30pm -- Dinner/drinks/music at Madison's Brewing Company, 428 Main Street. We're not doing a limited menu or anything; order from the regular menu, pay in the normal fashion. After dinner starting at 9:30, we'll have two Vermont bands:
Bob Stannard ( http://www.bobstannard.com/ ) will kick things off with his blues duo.
Husbands AKA ( http://www.myspace.com/husbandsmusic/ ) will play their Burlington ska/punk later for those who want to rock out.

We'll have collection jars set up at Robin's on Friday night to help pay for the beer and pizza and at Madison's on Saturday night to pay the bands. In the grassroots spirit of the Bennington Triumph Bash, we're not charging anyone admission, but donations would be gratefully accepted because this stuff doesn't come cheap.

Some details may still change slightly for the Saturday evening events; if so, I'll update you all.

Let me also take this opportunity to thank Big Heavy World ( http://www.bigheavyworld.com ), who's sponsoring us with hosting for this website and with a sound system for the Saturday night music.

Mark,
Let me thank you, Tito and Robin for all the work you've put into this. It sounds great and the rides look awesome. I for one, can't wait for Friday night to start this whole thing off, meet a bunch of you, and then head over for a cold one and a slice of pizza!

I posted the brochure at my dealer and I've heard more may show up at the last minute. This is going to be something!

Dude that sounds awesome! I was wondering where a good parking lot would be, didn't know about that one! Looks like it will be a nice and central.

By the way I know Bob Stannard, grew up with his daughter. He's really good! Haven't heard him as a duo before tho, should be good!! Love the blues :D
02 BA, lots of goodies...
I may live in NY, but I grew up in VT! I'm a local for this one...

OK
now do I bring the cigars on Friday night to the parking lot or do we stink up Robins apartment ?
probably should solicit Roibin's opinion on this
do they allow smoking in bars in VT?

If I'm not mistaken, Robin has access to the roof of her building, where the cigar smoking would presumably take place.

No smoking in Vermont restaurants and bars.

Nice job Mark!

What time do you want to head to Bennington on Friday? Meet me at my house we can go to breakfast on the way there. I might take a ride down there a few days sooner to drop off some of my gear at the FORT.

looks good mark. good job. I know it takes a lot of planning to get this done. Sounds like you have much of logistics down. Thanks again.

I wished I had booked earlier for myself at the Paradise but I have a friend in Bennington not too far away. It may be a cab ride for me, late night, after the partying ... what ever. well see how it plays out.

That sounds good. We can figure out timing when it gets closer, but I was figuring on working it out so we arrive in Bennington between 11am and noon. That way we can drop off our stuff at the Fort, grab some lunch and relax a bit, then head out for an afternoon ride. (Or maybe just grab some coffee at the cafe and get lunch in Putney at the BBQ place.)

Hank, the Fort is Robin's fortress-sized apartment.

cigar smoking is permitted on the roof (carefully as it's a rubber roof)
the fort is also "the fort" as it's easy to defend when attacked.

Robin, does it have a history of being attacked?

there have been a few futile attemps. we defend with sharpened sling shots (sharpened for up close combat) guns are just too noisy for a new england town :)

This looks like a well laid out plan. I know that our gang should be rolling in sometime around 3pm-ish so we will be ready for the 5pm commencement without any issues!
