9th ANNUAL MAINE EUROPEAN MOTORCYCLE MEET info

Postby b_mason » Sun Mar 30, 2008 5:36 pm

If you want to join us heres the hotel reservation information.

Hi folks!
I just wanted to get this out here for those that want to reserve rooms for this years meet. We are trying to figure a way to post a PDF file on the forum with the reservation form but haven't had much luck yet. Once we get it here you'll be able to fill it out and then drop it in the mail or fax it to Sunday River. Those that stayed on mountain last year should be seeing an invite for this year with the form in the letter. I hope this will make things go easier than ever.
Until then,
Reservation number is:
1-800-543-2754

booking number for the Maine European Motorcycle Meet:
84N7TS

Saturday evening's meal with entertainment:

Tossed Market Salad with assorted dressings
Fresh Baked rolls and butter
Sautéed Boneless Chicken Breast with mushrooms and roasted garlic demi
Baked Haddock with lemon butter sauce
Marinated Broiled Steak Tips with maple bourbon BBQ glaze
Chef's choice veg and starch
Chef's choice desserts
$23.75 inclusive prepaid
$28.75 inclusive at the door
(this was Friday evening's dinner last year btw)

Remember, you need to make sure you make reservations for the Sat. night meal as well as your rooms.
More information to follow.
Mike

I'v got it Bret.

Here you go gang.....

The 9th (yes NINE years running) annual
MAINE EUROPEAN MOTORCYCLE MEET will be held at Sunday River Ski reasort on July 25-26-27 2008
I'm working with the mountain right now on meal reservations and rooms. It's looking like we'll have both a fax number and a direct link to reserve rooms and the Saturday evening dinner to make things easier than the phone lines.
The Motorcycle Shop will once again be presenting the meet and will have music on Sunday as they did last year.
Sponsors so far are
Street Cycles
Moto Milano (who is working with Ducati on a possible Maine Monster Challenge)
Seacoast Sportcycles
National Power Sports (Benelli!)
Whitehorse Gear
Heli Modified
more coming onboard soon

Also, Viva DUCATI.com is our promotional supporter this year! www.VivaDUCATI.com

For more info, stay tuned here or call me at 207-875-2113 or drop me an email at mds@megalink.net
Start speading the word to all the sites you lurk around at if you want to help me.
Thanks and stay tuned for updates.
Mike

Sorry, I meant to say you are all invited. We do have folks from Canada and NY and all over the U.S. show up. I was hoping to share with you when I see you at the BTB. The issue is it does conflict with the Ohio Vintage Motorcycle Meet but I am way closer to the MeMe meet than I am Ohio. I just with some of the CV RATs would show up. I have been talking it up for over 3 year now and only a few have come over. We are having our 9th Meet. Wow, 9 years. Anyway come over and ck it out. Its best motorcycle vacation of the year.

And,

The event was mentioned in "Torque" several times befor they screwed RAT over and made the new Triumph Magazine which does nothing for RAT at all. It doesn't do that much for Triumph either. But the MEME event is in Ride Maine Magazines and other publications nationally. We just got mentioned in Rider magazine....Rider Magazine, April 2008 issue, ONWARD TO MADAWASKA IN SEARCH OF THE ELUSIVE MOOSE, Pg. 47, second paragraph.
Well done is always better than well said.

here's some more info, thanks for the assist Hank.
Hope to see everyone there.

Brett

This is the link to the reservation form. Please fill it out and fax or
mail it to Sunday River. (info on the form) You can email it to them
but your credit card number isn't secure on the email. Fax and USPS
should be. Should you not want to include your card number, include a note
saying to call for credit card info. (with a number they can reach you)
This should save everyone time on the phone.

Schedule for the meet is the same as always with a meet and greet
Friday evening. The big dinner is Sat evening and there is a spot on the
form to reserve your seat there. They need the numbers so we can make sure
everyone is well fed.

Sorry, Hank. I've been meaning to come over and check it out for the past few years, but that time of year always sucks for me -- super-busy at work. Maybe this year I'll ride over on Saturday for the day, or camp somewhere that night so I can hang out in the evening.

Sounds great that there will be so many coming. I can't wait for this riding season.

Don't forget to tell all your friends that ride European bikes that they are invited also.
