I had it for the last 3 weeks. it was winding down and I thought it was done but today its back and punishing me for being too optimistic
on a more pleasant note my new Barbour International iridng jacket arrived today. so now I ride a British bike wearing a British helmet (Davida) and wear a British jacket. does anyone know a good brand of british underwear?

I missed 4 days of work for what I think was the flu. I'm NEVER cold, and I was shivvering wearing a fleece vest, two blankets and a winter hat... crazy. My chest wasn't right for a good couple weeks afterwords also. Keep up the clear liquids (non-alchohol based...) and get good rest!!

I haven't been sick for 5-6 years...I try to stay away from airborne ninja germs and the people who harbor them.

2 days ago I was sitting on the can with a hose for a sphyncter filling up a waste basket thru my nose...I blame the kids for bringing that home.

usually, I try not to hurl...mental exercise...mind over matter...this time I just figured, let's get it over with...that takes care of the stomach...1/2 hour later I think I cleared out the upper intestines with an iced tea flush...30 minutes after that I squeezed every last drop of liquid out of every last cell in my body on straight water.

then for the next 8 hours I tried to re-hydrate...I never in my life tasted water so good...it was just pure joy...today, I have some fruit and an egg in me...so life is good again.

this was a 12 hour stomach virus...I dread an all out flu. 2 days laying around had me ache-y enough.

I have been self-medicating with vitamin C, zinc and scotch. I don't know if it's helping but after a few doses I don't really care
I have to shake this soon as I am to attend a large annual meeting at home office all next week. We're expected to be dynamic participants in the meetings. It's tough to be a corporate cheerleader when you feel like crap
but today temperatures are expected to rise into double digits so spring is in the air

For the past few years I've been getting flu shots in the fall. They seem to work great. I haven't been sick in years, not counting the occasional head cold... and I haven't even gotten one of those this winter. Knock on wood...

I had a pretty nasty head cold 2 weeks ago but I have also been getting the flu shot for the last several years and have remained well for the most part.

Funny you should mention the Barbour Doc. I just bought a new pair of Tony Lama Cowboy boots down in San Antonio and I figured i would give them a good Mink Oil. After I was done and while my good wife was hitting the boots with the blow dryer to get the mink oil to seep in I took out the old Barbour and drenched it in its 2nd ever coat of Mink Oil. I spared no area and really got it in deep and wet. i then got the blow dryer and heated that puppy up until it all melted deeply into that fine Barbour thread. I have it hang drying right now and am planning on bringing it to the Taylor to get a small tear around the pocket sewn up.

As far as the flu - I've been lucky! I have 2 orange juices a day with an airborne inside each one. Seems to work even if it is only psychosomatic!

I actually got it this year. I'm usually good for a couple day sore throat each year, that's about it, but it knocked me out for 4 days!! I used to brag about my awesome immune system, never get sick, bla bla bla. Turns out my hyperactive immune system have me fuckin MS, so yeah I don't get sick very often, but I got that now... Docs don't want me doing things to boost it like airborn, etc. I still hit the OJ every morning! Gotta have it... Doesn't feel right to eat my Life or Rice Chex without it!!! The wife's a teacher, so she hits the airborn!!
