Paradise Inn is booked - click here * for alternate lodgings

Postby Bucky » Tue Jan 29, 2008 4:16 pm

According to Emily on 01/29/08, there are no available rooms on 05/30 & 05/31 at The Paradise Inn. I didn't ask about other dates.

The Kirkside Motor Lodge is just down the street, within short walking distance to the Paradise. A few of us are already booked there.

Word has it there is a college graduation or other large event in town that weekend.
Better giddyup y'all if you want a room in town.

Bucky - I look forward to meeting you. Charlie speaks very highly about you. I'm glad you’re coming.

For those that have not yet made their reservations here is some things to keep in mind:
Robins Cafe is on 105 South Street (which is really RT 7) just off of Main Street
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=105+South ... p&ct=image

Kirkside Motor Lodge would be the first lodging closest to the Cafe at 250 Main Street
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=250+Main+ ... p&ct=image

Paradise Motor Lodge would be 2nd closest at 143 Main Street
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=143+Main+ ... p&ct=image

According to the map scale Paradise is no further than 2500 feet from the Cafe so both places are indeed extremely walking distance there and stumbling distance back! :-)

Would you believe we've met & even broke bread?

{Golly - I'm sooo insignificant ;-) }

I was on that late season Ridgefield RAT ride; the one with the Westchester BMW guys.

Ah hell - now I'm really embarrassed! Yes I remember you well now. We all had lunch on the Lake. It was a real cold day - I believe that was when I decided I was through for the season. BTW -those BMW guys are a real swell bunch of fellows and I really enjoyed riding with them. There was also a guy on a Street Triple that day as well.

openings at Paradise

I just booked reservations at the Paradise for the 30th and 31st a few minutes ago after getting the okay from the executive branch. At least, I thought I did. I hope they weren't putting me on.

Interesting. Maybe the Paradise had some cancellations.

Paradise reservatons

Postby TBS98 » Tue Feb 19, 2008 5:58 pm

Bonnevillebilly: As of last spring I'm a transplant from NC to Gloversville, NY. I think I'm less than 2 hrs. away from Bennington. Yeah, thats sorta funny about the Paradise. I asked them how full they were getting and they said about half the rooms were taken. Makes me wonder if I should call them back as I haven't recieved an e-mail confirmation yet. I can't wait to meet some other Triumph brethern and find out about nearby rides. Happy trails, Larry

Larry - welcome! I look forward to meeting you. Your pretty close to Mondo who lives in Fort Drum. He is NOS (NewOldSchool) on the Rat.

I wish, but I can confirm a full Paradise Inn as on the time of this post. I just got off the phone with Mike from the Paradise, apparently that graduation really fills the town up. Looks like the Midtown Motel for me, as the other places really nearby are full too. The MM is only 0.75 mi to the Cafe, so not too far away ultimately.

Just got confirmation on a room at the Kirkside Motor Lodge. So as of Saturday evening they still had rooms. I did call the Paradise and they were full.

I just booked a room at the paradise this morning. THey told me no rooms were available. Once I stressed tor the 3rd time I was coming for the Triumph rally & there were rooms set aside for us, then she looked again & found available rooms.

That's interesting... I thought we'd run out of all the rooms that had been set aside.

Hey Whsiperinsmith, maybe you should call them and make sure they haven't left all the rooms you reserved on your credit card empty!

Well, after reading these last couple of posts (thanks amrehm) I decided to see if I could get Fri. night too.
Note that a few weeks back I was only able to get Sat. night so I had to book Fri. at another hotel. Oh what a good day as I just booked Fri. and Sat. with the Paridise and I don't have to change rooms either. Yes, I am a happy boy!!! Cheers, Touko
