I think you guys need a fresh outlook...the vise grips have your brains.

I'm going to prescribe cannabis, rum, and Jimmy Buffet for the rest of the winter...don't think anymore until it reaches 65 degrees.

Hmm, I think I'll pass on all three of those. I'm more of a steak, gin, and punk rock kind of guy.

The deal is that I started this year with one less parent, the other part of the beginning of this year was not of my choice , $1500.00 trust to the lawyer , a little resentful......yes. Trying to deal with it....Yes. Water over the dam . Dam Water .The grip is I'm going to deal with it sober. I suppose I could be a little more tactful, sorry. I'm ready to ride, it's coming. As for work, I have work , work and more work in which all keep me busy.Winter snuck up on me this tear, ran out of time to ride bike. ( Family Illness ) Life is not only fragile but also unpredictable , that's why I have an over and under and probably end up with Jimmy and the rest. " Hey , hand me a shell."

Bill

That's exactly why Massachusetts has such strict gun control! :-)

Nice. I sleep with one of those next to my bed. Generally speaking I'm not a fan of double-action 9mm automatics, but the CZ 75B is the exception. Great single-action trigger pull on it once it's been cocked.

I wish I had a 5000-round stockpile for it. I'd make it out to the range a lot more frequently. :)

I want a Ural! It's a shame they cost upwards of $10k and aren't very reliable.

Hedge, I agree, I like .45s better overall than 9mms, though my platform of choice is the good old M1911A1.

I'd like a Blunderbuss , mountable to the side of bike, no ( 2 ) of them one for inside. You can put ground up metal , shot. knives ., forks, etc. I guarantee you don't need all that ammo , you have it at home and you won't need to fire a second time at least within ( 20- 30 yds. ) The sweep on it would fan out the width of two cars parked together- Eliminate problem (s). You might not want to use it inside though or you'll have to hire an interior decorator , however perpetrator will be gone and so will be part of the wall...........Just a thought http://www.militaryheritage.com/musket9.htm Speed.

lately, not really

early 60's I can remember 24-36" snowfalls, and 12" wasn't that uncommon...8" was the norm.

now it's usually just 2" and a "heavy" fall is 6"...10 years back we had a 14" fall that crippled the sissies.

temp too...we always had a 20 below...but last couple years we just flirt with zero and 30 is the norm.

what we do have tho is old bridges and potholes...dispite a couple modern roads, mostly it's paved game trails.

Spring is coming!!!

Postby TonUp » Sat Feb 16, 2008 9:36 am

So your riding season is much longer the ours here in VT? I am looking to settle farther down south from here. I have some friends in VA and the get to ride almost all year. I would like to be able to ride 10 month a year.

Yesterday the roads were pretty icy, and last night it was back to sub zero, it is beautiful and sunny today, tomorrow I might go snow shoeing and Monday Cross Country Skiing.

Not so long ago I used to maintain 28 tower sites in NY, VT and NH tallest Mountaintops so working on -30F below zero on a tower for hours was not a big deal, but that was then, I like sitting next to my wood stove and relaxing these days.

I have paid my dues to Winter, I am ready for summer days!
