Glad to catch up on the details, I was worried I'd miss out on signing up for things. As it stands, I'll remember to bring my chair if I hang out at the Paradise and have plenty o' pizza money ready to hand. That was a really good time, in any case. Thanks to all for setting it up again, in its usual slot! A few new details for me this year:
- I've given the VStrom a complete makeover! It now looks suspiciously like a white Rally Semi-pro (a Rally with good bits added on), but rest assured that it's really still the same VStrom. I swear. It has a bunch of the same parts but just sounds different, rides a bit differently, etc. Theseus' ship and all that.
- Camping again, up at Greenwood. For the new folks there are a handful of us up there each year using several sites, usually congregating around Mark's campfire or in the back field if the Rockers are there, too. Welcoming group all around, and the site owners are fantastic. They keep the place nice, are happy to see us back, and the showers are hot. While it's obviously not walking distance from hanging out in town, and heavy drinking isn't in the cards, the ride up is easy and the twisty hill on 9 is a great bookend for the day. Can't go wrong staying in town, though; you can care a lot less if it starts to rain or drops into the forties.
- I hope to be coming into town on Thursday, too. I miss the camping and it'll be another day of riding. The new VStrom still needs break-in miles, though that may not be true by the time of the Bash.
All the best,
Jim D
