2016 BBQ RIDE

Postby amrehm » Mon Apr 18, 2016 4:37 pm

This years BBQ ride will be to Top of the Hill BBQ in BRATTLEBORO, VT. We will plan on leaving the Meet & Greet from the parking lot of Bennington Station around 3:00 (FRIDAY JUNE 3rd) & riding as a group to the BBQ joint arriving there no later than 5:00. Rain or Shine.

They will be setting up a buffet similar to years past which will include - 2 meats, 3 sides & a bottle of water. this year we will have chicken, asst sausages, slaw, beans & corn bread.

The cost will be $19.00 cash in advance to Alan (amrehm) at the Bennington Station prior to departure. Price includes gratuity. Upon payment you will receive a wrist band. The wristband will be required to eat.

I will need to try & get a general head count by Wed June 1st , so if you are planning on attending the BBQ, please reply to this thread with your count. I do realize there are a bunch of people that do not follow this forum, so if you know of someone who isn't on here & you know they are coming, please include them in your count & let them know they will have to pay cash in advance.

AGAIN THIS IS RAIN OR SHINE...WHEN I GIVE THEM THE HEAD COUNT I HAVE TO PAY.

Please make an attempt to pay me before we leave the bennington station. Once I arrive to TOTHG I pay them before the group gets there.

Poor Doug, but kudos to Dan.

My grandfather was in experimental subs based in Hawaii right around 1930.

Last time I went on this ride Paul I myself received speeding tickets. Glad he he did clocked us before we slowed down to under 70 MPH, we were riding a lot faster than the Ton. :-)

Great memories from the BTB!!!

I still have that performance award stuck to my filing cabinet at work with a fridge magnet. He only got me for 65 in a 50. I think he had another 5 mph on you. Remember the ass in the pickup truck that stopped and told him he should throw the book at us because we broke every law in the book passing him? Good times. Yup.

Only 12 people committed to the bbq ride so far, but there are 274 views on the thread. We need 30 to get the buffet. Anyone else??? I need a better count by this weekend.

Could you check and make sure you have me as one of the twelve? Pretty sure I am, but might as well check.
