Paradise Inn Charges

Postby matts1050 » Wed Jan 09, 2013 3:20 pm

The Paradise Inn just emailed me saying they are going to charge my credit card for 1 nights stay as a deposit. I made my reservation a few months ago. Never had that done before. I emailed back and canceled the reservation. Told them I've stayed there for the past 4 years and never canceled.

They may have simply changed their policy in general. Worth following up with them and finding out their reasoning.

I just got the same email. No mention if deposit is refundable if you need to cancel.

Wonder if ALL customers of the paradise got this message or just thoes of us for the BTB.

I heard that some of the non-btb guests were not happy about all of the bikes there last year.

Happy New Year from Paradise Inn. With the new year we are implementing a new advance deposit policy. We will be charging a deposit of one night, plus applicable taxes. As your reservation was made in advance we are giving you a chance to change your credit card if you like. Please let me know within the next 7 days if you prefer to use another type of card. If I don't hear from you by Wednesday, January 16, I will charge the card on file.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,

Patti

i'll make a new reservation a month ahead. No reason to pay for it now anyway.

Just got this email from the Paradise-

"Hello Matt,

We appreciate your patronage with the Paradise Inn and we are waiving our advance deposit policy for you. Thank you again for staying with us and look forward to seeing you in May.

The Paradise Inn."

I was thinking of a different place this year. Ed & Vickie are checking in to some cabins.

That doesn't surprise me. It certainly sounds like the advance deposit is a new general policy; but when someone's repeatedly been a good customer, it makes sense to make an exception.

Something tells me they've switched to a new reservation system...
