What to do for Friday this year

Postby lzrdking61 » Sun May 20, 2012 6:49 pm

In the past I have always taken a long ride on Friday. One year solo out through the Adirondaks. Another with a few people up Rte 100 to the top ( got to the BBQ as everyone was leaving ). And last year a 5 state ride. Anyone interested this year? Could make a plan. Depends also if we want to be back in time for the BBQ.

Kancamagus Hgy? Lake Winnipasaukee? Lobster run? Out into the Adirondaks? Ideas and lengths of ride. Places someone might like to go they have never been. Some of these could be over 400 miles or we can keep it shorter. Back in time for BBQ? Can stay within striking distance of Brattleboro and still hit a lot of good roads. I might know a couple  .

I am definitely interested in a good long ride on Friday. I am the guy you were talking to last weekend at the Twisted Throttle open house last weekend. Furthermore, if you are in need of people to help lead a right, I would be willing to do so. What I was thinking is maybe you lead me on a ride Friday that I could take people on Saturday. Maybe a nice 250-300 miles tour (of course Friday would be a little farther) of a pretty decent riding pace. I am not Tito but I ride a Street Triple so it wouldn't be slow (except when crawling through towns).

In the past three years I have ridden with Robin, Brian and Mark (I really regret not going the first year) and have greatly enjoyed the event. So let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Even if not this year, maybe the next.

I'm having some work done on my Tiger at Branchville Motors. The King and I arrive Wed. afternoon, but not sure if work will run into Thurs. morning. Also not sure if Brian and Matt are coming by Branchville, or we are meeting up along the way. Not sure any of this really answers your question. :dunno:

I was at Branchville today getting my poor Tiger put back together. JIm said he will most likely have your bike Thurs morning. I don't usually leave for VT until noon. Give me a call when you get there Wed. 203-228-4108.

We have three coming in Thursday eve from WNY. We're ready to ride too. We might head north and not be back in time for bar-b-que on Friday. I guess we'll talk Thursday eve down town. Maybe we can hook up either Friday or saturday for riding.
