Looks Like a Wet Ride Tomorrow

Postby LoVel » Wed May 25, 2011 1:45 pm

We will be heading to the north tomorrow morning for our annual Memorial Day Bash on Lake Champlain in Chazy NY. Looks like there will be some bad weather for the start. We have changed our plans to start out going west. Hopefully this will put us through the rain quickly and then we can turn north. We were originally going to head East but that would put us in rain for at least two days straight.

We will make our way to Bennington the Friday of the bash. Hope everyone has a great trip. Can't wait to see you all again.

Hey Paul, I hope you guys end up getting as lucky with the weather as Keith and I did. We've had no rain since leaving Birmingham.

Thanks again for putting us up! And putting up with us... :)

We have made it to the north. We rode with rain suits on for a large part of the trip but only had heavy rain for about a half hour while we were in Alabama. We consider ourselves very lucky.

Most of the trip through TN and KY we were riding through storm damage that had obviously occured very recently. It seemed like we were right behind the rain most of the way. Trying to avoid the rain put us way behind schedule and we had to do almost 700 miles on Saturday. Ouch!!!

After staying with Robin's brother and her parents for a little while we should be showing up at the bash Friday.

See everyone soon.

Mark, we really enjoyed the visit. You and Keith are welcome any time.

Yeah, Keith and I made it home Saturday afternoon, and we had dry weather the entire way until we were about 40 miles out from Burlington. Figures...
