Sounds like a plan...I just had new "shoes", battery and a general check up done (that's on the bike, not on me!!)

Hopefully it will be a great 4 days weather wise.

Tito, I'm on the same wavelength. Taking the Tiger in soon for its four year service. BUT I'm also negotiating with the dealer to talk to the Triumph rep about an engine rebuild. I'm one of the unlucky ones who got one of the bad batch and the bike just blows oil out the pipe. (Ask Marty. He tells me all the time how much it smells. Hey Marty, with a bike like yours, you should always be in front of me!) I'm thinking a bad piston. Reports are out there they had problems, so Triumph is aware. My dealer said he's had good luck with Triumph honoring fixes even after the warranty is up. Hey, I bought three new Triumphs in three years. I hope they come through.

I had warranty work done on it when I got back from the cross country ride, but they only replaced the valve seals. No go. So, we'll see what happens. I just want the work done in time for the Bash! I love this bike and have formed a nice relationship with it after so many incidents along that ride. I've got it outfitted the way I wanted; crash bars and all. (They work by the way!) So I want to keep this bike for awhile longer.

Hope to see you at the Bash and I hope to be riding my Tiger.

Hi John. It's probably the center cylinder rings. My 'o7 was burning some oil. I traded it in for an '08-I wanted ABS anyway. I heard about the problem and wouldn't have trusted Gengras Triumph to open up the motor so I traded. Hopefully your mechanic has done this work before. Good luck! If the dealer can't get Triumph to work with you call Peter Carleo at Triumph USA.

Got word from my dealer today that my Tiger 800 XC with ABS is finally en route to them, and they gave me the VIN to prove it. :D Should be here in the next few days -- I'm hoping to be able to pick it up in time for the weekend.

At least now I know it'll be here in plenty of time for my May trip -- and of course the Bash!

Mark, I can't wait to see that bike! Tempting, but I don't know jack shit about off-road riding and at this stage I don't need more broken bones. But I do love the looks of it! And I have the feeling that bike will be in Alaska before long.

Matt, thanks for the info. I'll keep his name and number on file. I know if I trade up, it'll cost me so much to transfer crass bars, etc. so I'll keep this one. Hey, she's a sweet ride!

Trying to sneak in a Track Day before the bash.
I need new front brakes, chain and sprockets too. And Racing Fuel! It smells like bubble gum. SWEEEEEET!

Just ordered and received new tires for my bike and a rear tire for Robin. Will wait a little bit longer to put them on. Started making a list of things to not forget this morning while drinking coffee with my beautiful bride.

Camera and changing the tires now that I have them are on top of the list. Can't remember what else I put on there. Thank goodness I am making a list, my memory is shit. Just ask that guy from the rockers. Fuck, I forgot his name.

I still got all the sharpies from last year. I can still bring them & the labels for name tags.

Okay, sounds like the duct tape and sharpie stuff is covered.

That Friday night party the first year was pretty special. It's a shame we no longer have some place like that to have the party. I guess that is my fault but I am not going to apologize.
