Yes, its white. It looks better in person than in pictures. I like it. I'll have to wait to ride it to see if I want to trade my 955 tiger for the 800. I clicked on the link & it worked ok.

I'm still getting nothing. You probably have to be logged into your Kodak Gallery account to view it.

 With 8" of snow yesterday and the roads well covered it's tough going for any bikes...good thing I had some fun riding to last Saturday's seminar when the roads were actually decent...No comment on the "wimpy cagers" Rob as I know you were only riding with Dick to keep him company so he didn't have to "cage" over by himself

yeah that was "tongue in cheek" since I was one of them. I'm not immune to being a victim of my own sarcasm!

Had lunch with my mechanic today and when we got back to the dealer there were 2 crates sitting there. He asked me to help unpack them. 1st was a Speed Triple ABS in white. Love those funky headlights! Next was a shiny white Tiger 800. Oh what fun! I'm gonna try and get thre next week to take the Tiger for a spin. Not buying, though!

It's a balmy 25 here. I think I'll get a ride in on the DR later. They salted and sanded the crap otta my road a couple of days ago anticipating a storm that left but 1/2 ". My road looks like a dirt road it's so covered up. Tiger's staying in until things get cleaned up!

Hey Alan, word is (and photos show) that a demo Tiger in your neck of the woods got mangled. Were you riding it at the time? If so, hope you're okay!

Man, word travels fast. Unfortunately, I was the one riding it. 3 of us from the shop took some demo's out at 9am before we started the rides with the public. The bike being brand new with new tires not scuffed in yet & a 35 degree temp made them pretty slick. went into a right hand corner about 40 MPH & the front tire just washed out. I rolled pretty violently & hit the dirt embankment, then the bike hit, spun around & hit me in the head, then hit the phone pole. The bike is a mess. I have a couple bruises. Have to get a new riding suit.

You have no idea how pissed off I was. I had the 1st & last ride on the new 800. What a fantastic bike. I'm sure you will love yours.

I really f*cked up the open house. they had to call all the customers signed up to ride & tell them the tiger was now unavailable for test rides. Of course I stayed & helped out around the shop, so anyone that came in to ask about the new Tiger, they just pointed to me & made me go show them.

I'll find out tomorrow how we handle the situation after they call the insurance co.

Thankfully, they didn't rip into me, they just busted my balls all day. I'll never live this one down.

Well, it's just a bike. Important thing is that you weren't hurt.

I expect the insurance will take one look at the bike and total it, but from the pics I've seen, it actually doesn't look too bad. Assuming frame and forks aren't bent, it looks like it just needs a new rear wheel, headlight cluster/windshield, handlebar, and exhaust (perfect excuse to fit an Arrow).

And hey, at least it wasn't an XC.

I needs a whole new front headlite assy, lower right fork/axl part, rear wheel, handle bar broke right off, mirror, gas tank, exhaust, etc. the whole right side except for the engine are damaged. I'm still sick to my stomach over it. I bet I won't get a chance to ride the XC now!

How much damage to the gas tank? Was the actual tank damaged, or was it just a matter of scratches on the plastic shroud on the side of the tank? I was reading that Triumph designed that shroud to be disposable and cheap to replace so it could protect the tank itself, so I'm curious how well it did its job.

And it's good to know that despite all that other damage, the engine was untouched even without crash bars. And the passenger footpeg hanger that everyone though would destroy the subframe in a drop appears to be just fine.

The gas tank was scratched on the white paint. about 8' or so is scratched. In a flat slide, the black plastic would take the brunt of the damage. the issue was when the bike hit the dirt embankment it was no longer on a flat surface, so the tank got hit. The phone pole did the damage to the wheel. Not sure what broke the handlebar off, probably just the impact of hitting the pavement.
