Paradise was great, clean rooms, friendly staff, good coffee, quiet area and the center of the 'action", ie walking distance to most everything "Bash" related.

I would stay there again.

the Hampton Inn was great, but the $$$$ was a bit high for what I used the facilities for.

The Paradise INN was great! Clean! Roomy! Comfy! Nice pool! Awesome staff! I am trying to get at least half of the 75 rooms for us next year. Some rooms handle 4 people easily.

Paradise Inn Rocks! $125 per night for 4 people plus tax not bad.

I stayed at paradise this year & the 1st year. Last year the Kirkside. Paradise is a nice facility. Very clean & comfy.

Kirkside, I wouldn't stay there again unless nothing else available.

I had 3 friends stay at midtown, this year - nothing good to say.
Owners no speak good english
toilet didn't flush so they were given a plunger.
couldn't get fresh towels.
hung jacket on the coat hook & it fell off the wall pulling the walpaper with it.
pool was filled with trees & such, etc.

They had some great stories. Ask Wes, Matt & Andy.

Midtown=
Coffee maker on bedstand, with no filters or coffee?
our toilet flushed great but, was built for someone height challenged as it was about 18" inches off the ground!
a diverter for the splashes on the air conditioner would have been great as i may have gotten more sleep,
oh yeah, did i forget to mention that the rumor going around of this is the place where the house arrest people have to stay? Something along the lines of such,
Outside those really small facts, i would stay again, it hit the price point, but could have been much nicer, but thats roughing it!

LOL, I am pissing my pants on your explanation of Midtown lol lol. I guess the Hampton Inn was a palace in comparisson. I had a pool and hot tub as well as a full suite with a small kitchen and everything worked. Great mini bar also :) The only other request would be a garage for my sprint :).

Stayed at Kirkside. Setting up the reservation was a pain and I can attest to everyone saying the guy is a crotchety old bastard. He started trying to bullshit me out of making a reservation once I told him I was with the Bash, so I said you can have me book three nights or have someone for the commencement book one night, it's up to you how much money you want to make this weekend. He said he only has a room with a single queen bed in it, I said we'd make it work. Booked the room.

Checking in on Thursday he takes my card and swipes it for the $307 total, I asked if it was just for incidentals and he said no I'm charging it now. Told him to hang on because I'm splitting it with my buddy, and he says he can't do splits. I went to grab cash from my friend and put two piles of $154 dollars in front of him and said that's the split, took the key and my receipt and he stops me. I'm like WTF at this point...he changed us to a room with two twin beds instead...ok good, but he mentions the TV doesn't work...whatever at this point, we'll be there to pass out, clean up, and get out to RIDE.

Get to the room, try the TV anyway it works for 5 seconds and shuts off. My buddy took out the power button with his knife because it was sticking, causing the thing to shut off. TV fixed.

Room was cleaned each day, no problems, fresh towels, etc. They shut the A/C off each time though and the cleaning lady either threw away or ate my Jalapeno Combos I bought after one of the nights out, WTF those were good!

The guy had nothing to say when I brought in the trash bucket to the office to fill it with ice for some beers we bought, wearing my padded riding shorts, a t-shirt, and boots, LOL.

We'll stay at the Paradise next year with the rest of you hooligans regardless.

The Paradise is....paradise.

Tito- let me know if you want me to talk to Georgia, the Group Sales Coordinator about reserving more rooms for next year. I'm happy to do that. I think if we call earlier we'd be able to get more than the 20+ rooms we blocked for this year.

Paula

Yes please do contact Patti or Georgia and see if you can make arrangements for 50% of the rooms. Room #112 for me . We can start reserving rooms ASAP and show the Paradise that we mean business. Perhaps next year we can have even more.

Thanks for all your help!

Regrettably I stayed at the Mid Town Motel. I should have sensed that something is wrong when "Mid Town" and "the countryside" are juxtaposed. The place looked like a crime scene. A sheet was laid over the couch, knocked over garbage can upon entry to the vestibule, broken and chipped corners on many edges, a cabinet door missing in the kitchenette, 2 bulbless lamps. No shower curtain at all but who cares if the shower sprayed out onto the floor.

I did not want to fuss or complain, I just needed a place to park. The people and friends more than made up for the unpleasantries of this place. I'll be back next year, but not at this dump.

(This was the place that the wandering meth head was picked up on Friday night, but that was not a deterent!!) (Sorry for the spelling typos).

The Paradise was excellent. Rum pineapples were great and the midnight swim with bonniegirl was exciting. Next year we will bring our swimsuits. See everyone at the pool at 11:30 pm Saturday night?
