Foam-like Grips on a Black Speed Triple - Tito's?

Postby Orion » Tue Jun 08, 2010 1:32 pm

At the bash I noticed a tricked out Black Speed Triple with what looked like really nice foamy grips. Seth and I were chatting about them, supposedly that is Tito's bike. Tito is this true, what are they and where did you get them?

Great time at the Bash BTW, as a non-Triumph rider (I have that black Ducati Sport 1000) I still felt right at home with the group. Maybe a 675 Daytona someday?

That bike might belong to Dan GSR (triumphrat.net), as Tito said. He has a flat black S3 with those grips and a Mivv exhaust.

Yup that's Dan's. Those grips seem awesome to dumb down any vibrations. Not sure how they'd hold up during "spirited" riding.

I didn't see the grips you are discussing, but I installed Grab On foam grip covers right over my factory grips on my Legend. These really helped my carpal tunnel in both wrists, and now I can ride all day without the pain that I used to get. They are cheap, so if you don't like them, you can always pull them back off again. Thay also make some models that are not slip on, but actual foam grips themselves. Search for Grab On grips, and you'll find their website. Any dealer can order them through one of their wholesalers.

I talked to Dan about his grips as he was parked next to our bikes at the Paradise...he said they were grip puppies...

the OURY block grips work well to reduce vibration and are not oversized

yes, that was my bike
and yes they are grip puppies
i highly recommend them

they are cheap, and go over your stock grips, so if you don't like them, just cut them off

tip on install, use aerosol hair spray, the alcohol will act as a lubricant, and when that dries the hair spray acts as a glue

i didnt use anything on my last bike, BMW K1200 LTc and just put them on, they never moved around, and i had heated grips on that bike, and the heat came right thru, and they are real cheap but definitely remove some vibration.
