Muscle Memory

Postby TonUp » Wed May 19, 2010 9:13 pm

So a couple of Sundays ago I figured it was a sunny beautiful warm spring day an it would be nice to take TON UP out of storage for a mellow Sunday ride. As soon as I turned left onto Vt 22A and shifted into second gear I stood up on the pegs and in one fluid motion the front wheel was aiming for the sky for about 1/2 mile or better,

WOW! Muscle memory! Just like riding a bicycle you never forget and it all comes back in an instant. I was smiling the whole way on my 130 mile breakfast ride.

On the way back to storage I decided to pull a third gear standup wheelie as I passed a couple of Harleys and waved first of course got back on my lane and pulled it up in 3rd, no clutch all power, man that is one sweet bike, I kept it up for almost two miles and decided to bring her down before the blue lights appeared I glanced at my speedo and saw 110mph on the back wheel of course, it was a serene and peaceful feeling, great therapy an of course Muscle Memory.

I smile even more as I put her back in storage and rode the Wee Strom home, guess what? ton up is out of storage again and ready for the Bennington Bash! Muscle Memory is a wonderful thing!

Tito you are indeed a crazed individual and talented too...If I weren't over the hill afflicted with severe old age I would take some lessons...I'm riding out with one of our County Sherrif deputies and he has an 09 Speedy...He's a young pup so maybe you could show him some stuff?
Raised on the farm to be tough and work hard...Don't expect anything you haven't worked hard for..Appreciate what you've earned..Be happy and thankful..

NIce to hear it man. I had no idea you had a vstrom also. Anyways my boss has cleared me for flight that weekend and i'll be riding up with the rest of the hooligans early friday morning. We plan on getting there in time for the meet and greet this year. Can't wait to play.

Took the Triple for a quick rip on Saturday, pulled another monster 3rd gear standup but ran out of road. Need to clean her up a little before BTB 2010.
