Triumph Come Home

Postby motohero » Mon Nov 23, 2009 1:47 pm

Ahoy all, I live in the Southern Tier of NY, I currently am finishing a 1968 Triumph T100R , its been a love/hate kind of thing, ultimately a gift for my best friend! That being said, Im going to get another soon.

Ive heard about this swap meet called Triumph Come home, someplace in PA. Anyone have more details on that?

I was also thinking of hosting a Euro-esque (I am a Duc owner) swap meet in my small little town. Could be a hoot!

So you live on Long Island or perhaps Westchester? Don't know about the Triumph Come Home meet but presume its in the summer. A Euro swap meet would be really cool so long as you're not too far from CT. Keep us posted.

I've been through Binghamton a couple of times. Bought gas there once so I guess I contributed to your local economy. Know almost as much about the Triumph Come Home as I do about Binghamton.
I am an individual. Just like everyone else.

LOL, funny we would consider Binghamton to be "upstate" around here. But if you guys think of it as the southern tier, so be it. I've been up that way a few times (Route 17??) and there are some great roads up there, just have to watch out for the state troopers.

Moto-

If you can't get enough info from their website you might try the Nittany Riders site http://www.nittanyroadriders.com/. Someone there probably has more info about the PA stuff.

That rally is during the summer - it's held out near York, PA I believe [south of Harrisburg]. I went in 2008. A lot of parts for sale but think it is only a summer gig.

Just when I think I've heard of every event along comes another big one that looks really cool...Heck a year ago I was hearing about the BTB for the first time...will wonders never cease?

Upstate NY is the Adirondacks...Central NY is Syracuse....Western NY is Rochester/Buffalo Southern Tier is the 607 area code and some 716ers to the west...at least that's my definition...
Raised on the farm to be tough and work hard...Don't expect anything you haven't worked hard for..Appreciate what you've earned..Be happy and thankful..
