Guess what I got?!?!?

A JOB!! That's right, as some of you know, I got laid off in Feb (didn't like the job too much anyway...) and starting Monday, I'll be gamefully employed again. Can't make the Noreaster, mainly because I don't think I'll get any time off in my first month :D But at least I'll have some cash around for next year's events!! And, the job is just what I was looking for, not just a "for the sake of a job" job, so I'm real lucky. Sorry this season kinda sucked (no tech days...), but maybe next year I can reall host a good one.

Thats great Benny! Now they should be giving you at least a week off for vacation so will you be at the next bash? Another question. You will now have plenty to spring on a hotel but would you still stay up in the big house?

Yeah the bash is still on my list... It's a homecoming thing for me, ya know? I'm gonna see how the housing thing shakes out next spring and kinda go with the flow. Probably big house yeah.

Congrats Benny. Now you have to get back into that work mode. We can still come over the ferry for a Fall ride or you can come up once more before it gets too cold. I was thinking of putting together a ride up in the Litchfield hills next month. I have most of the route planned out.

Glad to hear you found a good job Benny. Being unemployed sucks. I've been there and after a couple weeks you start to go stir crazy tring to figure out what to do with yourself. The funny thing is, the minute you start working again you begin to think about taking time off and wishing you had more time to do stuff. Oh well that's lilfe, I guess. Maybe we get a ride in this fall before the weather turns nasty - either on LI or in CT.
