It's snowing here in Burlington right now. Woke up to a dusting of snow on the ground in town (didn't stick to streets, luckily), rode to work anyway, but it's still frustrating to be seeing the white stuff at this point.

BRRRRR!

I rode in the rain on Saturday, and rode almost 200 miles on Sunday, ripped Route 140. Froze my booty off! Should be in the 50's tomorrow.

I went for a ride with my friend Jon from NESR on Sunday. Headed up through the islands, we were going to turn east in Alburgh and ride past Swanton and down Rt 118, but the clouds looked menacing to the east but looked like they were breaking up to the southwest. So we rode across the Rouses Point bridge and headed south on Rt 9. Not too far past Plattsburgh, the clouds opened up, and we ended up having a nice sunny afternoon. Rode all the way down to T*** Rd, enjoyed that but took it easy (still some wet spots and some sand in a few places, plus cold road, didn't want to take chances). It stayed sunny all the way back up to Shelburne, but Burlington was still clouded over and didn't clear up till the evening.

It was a good ride, 200 miles, lots of fun. The Adirondacks are really nice at this time of year because of all the pine trees -- they're the only thing that's green, and it feels like it's later in the spring than it really is! :)

Hey guys,
I was re-reading my directions for this ride. I know they are kinda wordy.... So I went back on the google and re-did the route (same as before) but I printed out a PDF of the google TEXT directions, as well as one with all the little maps of each turn etc. Anyway, for those who prefer simple text directions, without my personal flair for landmarks, I'd be happy to email them a pdf or two! The map Mark posted for me in the "rides" page is correct, but I know it's kinda confusing, so I'm happy to help out.

The ride is EASILY customizable if someone wants to JUST hit the mountain, or JUST go to East Dorset on their own some other time, or if it rains like hell we can skip a few sections to make time, that sort of thing. Very flexible. Plus I plan on a dunkies stop on the way out of town for a quick bite!
