Gixxer in the house?

Postby Touko » Wed Mar 11, 2009 2:11 pm

Jimmy, did ya pull the trigger on the Suzuki? If so I will not be trying to keep up. I like to go fast from time to time but the bung starts hurting after 120.

I have to go sign the papers and pick it up weather was nice today but worked till 7:30 so I should have pics posted this weekend. Insurance is 18 dollars a year more then my Bville for a bike that will run 186 to the limiter. Hey Tito what sticker do you get when you remap and bump the limiter to 202 do you have one that says 2 ton LOL.

Rode and 08 GSXR-1000 last October, and it really rips, it made my Speed Triple feel like a moped ( a very fast moped) I rode it on the back wheel at 137mph, sick sick bike. And it handle like a dream.

Have fun and send pics! :-)

Hey Jimmy, way down in the corner of the last page of the insurance papers might just read "only covered for loss if not taken out of garage". LOL

I would love to have a Gixxer. I am just not certain how long I would enjoy it because I know I would keep twisting that throttle until the thrill of the speed overcame the fear of death.

Whoa Dude , Easy........ I couldn't have one cause' I'm a Lunatic. LoL
LoVel ,did you find out what's going on with the ignition , on your bike ?
My Bike Is fitted wuth the digital Electronic type.
Pick up Coil ( Air Gap) 1.0mm +/- 0.2 mm ....... A Low voltage Primary and High Voltage Secondary
Throttle pos. sensor - if that's bad , I have to replace the whole Carb. , Yep.
Igniter unit-Calculator/Evaluator - pre- programmed parameters
Ignition HT Coil - Wasted Spark Principle.
Maybe voltage side of rectifier/regulator ?
I'd really like to know , because of the dead stop after idling.

You know I love Jimmy BUT,
To say I'm disappointed is saying the least.
I'm sure riding a supper bike would be a blast but, there is no soul,
No style, no taste.
If you have seen one rice-rocket you have seen them all.
200 mph...... I don't know man....I get scared at 120/130 mph on my little Bonny.
But, I look good doing it.
Triumph's have style and class.
I guess as long as you are happy with it, that is all that counts.
I am still looking forward to seeing you and riding with you........
....well ...riding with you, if I can keep up with you.
Good luck with it, and ride safe.

Dude - Just be careful , you know...... Gorilla's in the mist.
Otherwise , It don't matter what bike you choose as long as you stay alive to enjoy it.
Remember F-16. Speed.
