Info Booth Offer For 2010 Bash

Postby eben » Wed Jun 10, 2009 6:20 pm

I spoke to Tito about this at breakfast on Sunday. I manufacture portable booths here in Saxtons River and I could produce one (at no cost, my donation) for the Bash next year and beyond.

It would just be a central point for questions, maps, T-shirts or whatever. I could drive the it over on Thursday and set it up in the Hemmings lot or wherever we end up.

I would print the top with a Bennington Bash design of some sort and then the skirt would just be black with black velcro squares so that if anyone wanted to sponsor us, they could print a panel and stick it on one of the five sides.

Just an offer. If people think it would be useful, I'd be happy to do it.

That is hip man. could put it right beside the panhandler that cooks on the side of the street, I'm just guessing , He makes some good grub though...Cart , umbrella and all.
of course it would require volunteers ? Ooops. 8)

Thanks for the offer, it would be awesome to set up an info kiosk like that! I'm just not sure where we'd put it (since we don't just take over a single location) or who would staff it. I'm sure the staffing issue could be worked out with volunteers though as Speed suggested.

Let's discuss over the winter when we get into the serious planning stages for the 2010 BTB.

Very cool unit and generous on your part as there is some cost to the quality of what you're proposing...

Hey Speed.... Jimmy is the purveryor of hot dogs and hamburgs with the setup on Main Street...He's been voted as having the best hot dog and 3rd best hamburg in the Bennington area...I'm a fan after eating there...I thought it might be a great place to hold our Saturday night banquet but he's only on the street until 6pm...
Raised on the farm to be tough and work hard...Don't expect anything you haven't worked hard for..Appreciate what you've earned..Be happy and thankful..
