I did a search for greylock in the forum, and came up blank. Looking over the maps of the Bennington area, it looks like a route to the top of Mt. Greylock would be a pretty nice ride. I have not been there, but have passed through some of the area, and wondered if there was some reason that this wasn't on the possible routes? Anyone have local information on this area? Thanks!

I have always been fascinated with Mt. Greylock but have never have had the opportunity to explore it. In my previous line of work I visited an awful lot of tower sites in beautiful mountain tops in NY, VT, NH and ME but never made it to the MASS sites.
It does sound like a fun place to ride to and I will try to get to it on my way back this year from a MARCUS DAIRY ride. (Breakfast ride) Hopefully this summer.
The rides we put together for the BASH were rides and roads that we are familiar with, but we do welcome members to submit their rides as well.
Mark what do you think?
Thanks!

Sure, additional rides are always welcome. I just need a precise route to prepare the map and writeup.

i've been upit a few times, never on a bike and not since the road was redone. there is LOTS of very slow moving car traffic on the weekends (as there is on equinox-sorry benny) the road was CRAP before. it;s closed seasonally and opens mem day wknd (i think)

Yeah but at least equinox isn't a thru street, ya know? So you can kinda wait it out at a scenic lookout. I've done Equinox MANY times, also in a car. We'll be fine
