Hold your horses. Tito, Robin, and I are discussing the possibility of making the entire '09 BTB camping-oriented.
'09 planning has commenced, and the site will start getting updated soon.

I like camping, I do it a couple of times a year on the bike.
I camp out in the Berkshire mountains every fall and, let me tell you it gets damn COLD up in the mountains at night.
I really don't have a problem with camping BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, It sure was nice having a nice
comfortable bed and a nice hot shower and watching TV till I fell a sleep in a hotel room.
Camping would be a whole lot cheaper but, if I can get a good deal on a room close to the camp ground ????
I don't know? I will have to wait till the time comes before I make up my mind.
Bill
Here is one from a couple of years back all packed up ready to head up in the mountains

I'm in favor of having both the camping and motel option available near the rally site. My map program tells me there isn't much camping available in the Bennington area. I've done a lot of motorcyle camping everywhere from the east coast to the west coast and it can be great fun. OTOH, it's not for everyone.

Well that's what we were figuring was going to happen anyway, some people enjoy to motel it , others have done that, and would rather spend money on themselves , like steaks ribs, chili etc.,gatherings by the campfires, war stories, A down to earth place where they can let their hair down.......you know the story.
I've been a camper myself for about 40 years ! Believe it !
Ol ' Mom & Pop brought us up camping .....carrying on the tradition. I'm going to hold out a minute and see what Jimmy was cooking up on his end. Speed.

Camping is great and I'm definitely considering it. but I like the idea of a fairly close hotel option too. I like not having to go far if I need to drop a deuce in the middle of the night.

Benny, that was fuckin funny but it's just as likely to be true; as trying to pinch one off during the middle of the night after some hard partying could be dramatic. I can see it now; ya get up and after putting on flipflops stumble out of the tent onto uneven ground and while your eyes are still adjusting to the dim light ya trip on that fucking root that was sticking out right in front of your tent. Now it's off to the shitter with a stubbed toe and skinned knee. Once there you look and discover there's no paper so you head back to your tent all pissed off but your insides are so tightened up you don't have to go anymore...."Problem solved".
This is gonna be great!!!

Or after he trips over the tree root strikes his knee and his Big toe is pounding , that the pain makes his pucker string give out and 'Presto' there's that no-eyed brown trout flapping around in his underwear ! Oops !
Better cut these off of me with my handy knife ! ........ Trash Barrel
LMAO

Damn boys I have never been that drunk and I can drink. Okay lets deal with the tripping over a tree root at the end of my tent( redneck logic here dont put your tent where there are areas impeeding your flow to the shitter). After sampling the fare at the lovely Bennington Area ( not up to the liking) of a eating machine . Camping is not for everyone and should be taken more for the partying to follow the days activitys. Those of you who hung out with us can tell the story. I am planning a grub cookin liquid refreshment having good old fashion party for several days those of you who have never partied biker style wouldn't understand but are more then welcome to stop in and see the sights.

Thats the spirit when the goverment takes our guns money and right to speak freely we will always have our fuel friendly triumphs and memories from eating drinking and being merry. I am sure if we are nice and in numbers of friendly people they will make some changes to the placement of porto potties hell maybe we can get one right out the tent from Benny so he doesn' have to go far LOL. Ever take a flexible hose from a motor home and channel the gases from a porto pottie and make a redneck candle LOL. How about dick sparking where you take your spark plug wire off and start the bike with the wire in one hand and your dork in the other see how far you can pull and arche off the side of your frame work LOL. No I dont think we will be doing any of this cause we want to be invited back to the camp ground but stumbiling to the potty should be the least of your worries. Photos making it back to the web would scare me more then shiting myself. I know its along way off but I for one am looking forward to just kicking back with the room 163 patio crew next year at the fire pit festival of 2009. You people know who you are so your seats will be reserved.

Looking forward to Bennington 2009 and possibly doing the camping thing assuming we find a campsite big enough for everybody. Will have to go out and get some new gear since I haven't done a M/C camping trip in many years. Might be good if someone has a car or truck to transport beer, food and firewood...
