Bennington Triumph Bash

Just a reminder for all riding in from a distance. Keep on your side of the yellow line! It seems we hear every year of some biker who drifted over and got hit. We don't want to lose anyone, so keep alert. It's too easy to get complacent when riding in a group.

Okay, I'm done. We're all big boys and girls. I just want to be able to pat each and every one of you on the back and say I'm glad to meet you.

No shit man!! I was riding home the other night cruising along at about 65, no yellow line to divide the lanes. I see a ford F250 swerve left to go around a fucking TREERAT! his mirror missed me by my guess of 2 feet. to far into my 6 ft personal space i require for cars and my bike. Aftre my heart slowed down I was able to breathe again. That was way too close of a call for me.

I had a truck swerve at me yesterday also. He was just pissed because I was passing him on a double yellow.

I came out of a hairpin left hander hard on the throttle behind this assclown. I see him looking at me in the mirror so I know he knows I'm there. As I change lanes to go around him on the double yellow down hill that goes into a hairpin right hander he swerves half way across the left lane. I lift he pulls back over and I hammer it and fly by him telling him he is number one in my book. Hell, I had all my bags on my bike.

The next thing I did was kinda stupid but I didn't think he would hit me. At the bottom of the hill I put on my left blinker moved to the right center of the lane and came to almost a complete stop before turning left. There was nothing coming and no need for me to slow down that much. He was laying on the horn and I could hear him yelling about somebody fucking his mother or something like that. I guarantee his blood pressure was higher than mine.

Why would anyone do that to his mother? Seems like she already had given birth to enough assholes. Then again, I wasn't there to witness. Just siding with a fellow Triumph rider.

Amazing how people are so unwilling to give up their spot in line. Like in rush hour traffic it's going to make ANY difference in when you get home if I merge in front of you... Sounds like the guy Lovel passed had something like that going on. To threaten someone's life cause of traffic!!

just keep in mind that not everyone in a car is a complete asshole.

On the ride to work today i caught up to a scoobydue(subaru) full of hippie bumper stickers. When we got to the stop sign the person waved me up to her door. She yelled out her window to tell me to go around her because this road is to nice to have a car in front of a motorcycle. The road follows the river which is curvey and smooth. Needless to say I had a wonderful romp into work this morning. Wish they all could be like that.

Good to see a stereotype broken every once in a while!

The road I was on is traveled by many motorcycles a day. It goes over two mountains with multiple switchbacks. On the weekend I have actually seen the locals that live in some of the corners sitting on the porch watching people over run corners. There is a motorcycle resort at one end.

The locals that frequently travel the road in cages go by two schools of thought. Some see a bike and they slow down move over and actually wave. The rest don't like to be passed. Apparently some from the second school actually try and prevent it. It sucks to be in that slow ass F150(I drive an F150) while the bikes are flying by.
