Sigh.....Two Posts Closed at Rat.Net

Postby davidc » Sun Apr 20, 2008 6:58 pm

Well, I really don't want to talk about it right now, maybe later. Ok, now is gone and it is later. I had a little fun at the expense of harley davidson - I honestly had a good time writing it - and the thread was closed. Shortly thereafter, I posted about the closing of the post, and that post was closed - along with an unpleasant comment from the moderator. Sheeeeesh! It is hard to be a round peg trying to fit into a square hole when the shapes keep changing without warning.

As old and as fucking boring as all those Harley Bashing threads are
I can't see why they would be locked or deleted. Every one has there own opinions
and there own likes and dislikes.
There is the guy who is called a pirate who wears a bandanna under his skull cap and thinks skulls look cool (ME)

And then there is the guy who wears the whole power ranger suit and a full face helmet he looks like a space man ready to do 500 laps around Dayton's race way "NOT" (ME)

Different strokes for not so different folks.

Hell I have owned alot of HDs but never looked like a pirate but when I went into the dealership to buy a new one and everyone was wearing dress pants and penny loafers fuck that I earned my right to ride not bought it. I went to the triumph dealer and left with the bonneville and have sence found out that the people that ride our brand of bikes want to ride not act like a bad ass when you couldn't fight your way out of a wet paper fuckin bag. You people proved me wrong I thought the bike world went away to the squids or the rich yuppies wanting to be bad boys with big check books. If chicks dig the bad boy image I am glad I am married I try to act like a good boy these days LOL.

Well, I did not ask him, but he told me anyway through his comment at the end of my "Closed Thread" post. I PM'd him about it - thought I presented some pretty fair ideas about the incident - but he pretty much dismissed them, I guss, because he did not acknowledge any. He told me how he wants the forum to be and that "we" have better things to talk about, thus, installing himself as the arbiter. He also said that I should not take it personally, take a skin-tickness test, and go ride my bike. I commented on his condescension and arrogance, that it appalled me.

Anyway, people on RAT read this forum, I commeted on Bruce 19's issue, I have been scolded, and there it is.

JEnfield - you are right here, very, very right.

I have not used any foul language here and generally avoid it in cyberspace, but here goes: F*CK. Whew! Cool! I am better already.

I seem to recall Hedge and I were the only two people that thought sweat going mod on us was pretty strange.

I guess my first impression of the man was spot on.

It appears he hasn't been back since he came over to brag about his new gig.

You know, you're allowed to spell it without the asterisk here. :)

We have a term for people like that here in New Jersey We call them "punks". I have not used that term for anyone other than a teenager for quite a while.

When I read the deal go down a few months back when Sweat chimed in writing something like "Look out Sweat's in charge.." I scratched my head and said to myself ‘the kid is over his head.’

One of his first posts on this forum was Sweat lamenting the control over at T-Rat Net, ripping off a few profanity ladened remarks along the way.....LOL!!

And then, once he became moderator, he explained himself off with some knee jerk bullshit politically correct excuse as to how he was going to 'improve' the site over there.

Recently, the moderator Catbird (I think?) had to step in and shut down a thread he was getting into it with another member who was calling Sweatmachine out as the motorcycle 'zip tie, fiberglass, JB Weld, hack, ' that he is.

Well one things for sure...it's certainly been entertaining watching Sweat....sweat. LOL!!
