Camping, who's a brave, cheap soul?

I've been doing some looking into camping due to my cheapness. I found what I think is the closest campsite to Bennington, I spoke with the lady that runs the campground and she said that sites are $23 a night and you can put 2-3 tents on a site so the $23 a night would be split between the all the people. I know me and my girlfriend will be camping and a friend, Matt, is planning on camping too. If anyone else is interested in telling the overly expensive hotels (in my opinion) to GFY let me know. There's plenty of room available at the campsite and enough people to make it fun.

Maybe if you ask in a very nice way you might be able to camp right behind Robin's store if there is any land! The worse that she can say is No Dice!

She is in the middle of downtown. That goes for both the fort and the cafe. You might get run over if you camped behind either one of them.

There's a reason there's plenty of room at the campground!

matts1050,
LOL! I don't know why, but that cracked me up. (And to think, I'll be camping on a trip after Bennington. So why am I laughing??!!)

I will be camping at Woodford Stae Park. I know it is ten miles out, but I could not seem to get info on closer, private grounds. I am slightly brave, as I fear not my own shadow, but not exactly cheap, preferring the the word "thrifty" and its connotation of fiscal sensibility. The excitement I have is twofold: the Bash itself and camping off the back of a bike. Everything, which will be little, will be bungeed onto the back of my Bonneville. Rain? Of course there will be no rain.
Welcome! Bienvenido!

I have been camping for years off the back of a bike! It is a great feeling and it gives you an incredible sense of freedom. Bring a small tarp 8' X 10' just in case.
Looking forward to meeting all you brave souls at the BASH!

Could it be that most of us have rooms ? Just guessing. Actually I like to camp myself. The more primitive the better, except the wife will want to bring everything but the kitchen sink so I thought I better rent a U - Lock - It - U - Store - It .

I am dragging this thread off from page two. The lack of accomodations may inspire some to brave the great outdoors, as will I. And I am scared to be all alone in the deep, dark forest. Drag out those tents and flashlights and CAMP!
