Sorry it has nothing to do with the ride but I cant bring myself to listen to a bunch of bull shit on the other site . What does the back end of a thruxton seat look like is it flat or tapered like a solo cafe. I mean the part under the cowling just a question and no I am not going to keep asking newbie questions.

The Thrux seat has more of a hump for the pillion passenger to sit on, and it does taper more towards the end than the stock Bonneville seat. There's a photo in this eBay auction:

Does SARGENT make a seat for the Trux? I bet they do. I have one on my Wee- Strom and it made a huge difference on comfort and ride quality.

So why is that little strap called a passenger strap. I can't see someone actually holding on to it or being strapped to the bike with it.

Maybe it's like the line my brother and i used to have in the car. You know the one. Mom he's on my side.

I don't think Sargent makes a Thrux/Bonnie seat, but Corbin makes several.

And as for the passenger strap, I think the idea really is for passengers to slip their fingers underneath and hold onto it. Seems like a really uncomfortable way to sit though.

Good point I am just looking for a different look and MADSS has the new thrux gel seat for under $200 with free shipping . I had two post deleted on the rat site yesterday not moved, removed for posting in the wrong forum and for hijacking a thread. I am getting a little pissy about it so from here on out I will just post questions here. I guess I must have stepped on someones toes.

Jimmy, were the posts in the Biker Hangout section? That's the only place I've ever had trouble. The mods in the Twin Talk and Bonneville Owners sections seem to be a lot more easygoing.

Jimmy - MADSS is a great place to buy this kind of stuff and Scott is a really nice guy. He is actually out of Jersey so you never have to wait long for anything. I think that the center strap was, as explained before, originally used for said holding on but I would now venture to say that it is more of an esthetic item of back in the day. It kinda helps break up the look from front to back. Maybe it kinda draws that line into the sand which tells each person how much wiggle room they are each allowed!

I could never trust that passenger strap, if I was a passenger both of my hands would be locked around the driver. FUCK YEAH! I am not about to fall off. LOL

I prefer to have my female passengers wrap their arms around me, it is a lot safer you know.

Yeah it was the biker hangout and it pisses me off for some asshole to remove my post. Yeah Hedge I just got my fly screen and tank pads from Scott saved like $70 over dealer and with free frieght friday I get like two day shipping from NJ to DE for free. I dont think anyone would want to try to hold on to that little strap with me on the throttle LOL. Hey I smoked a softail today buy four to five bike links got him out of the hole and he couldnt catch me pissed him off . Next light I sat there and did a burn out and that really pissed him off.

You should see how pissed they get when you pass them doing a 3rd gear standup wheelie. And they are trying to catch up. Humbling experience for them. It is a though job but someone has to do it, keep up the great work, Triumph Riders!

Well heres a little story sit back and enjoy. In New Castle county there is a town call St Augustine on Rt9 it is the home of the Augustine Inn the Club House for the Pagens and I know several members my best friend is a retired club mechanic. Anyhow I was on a dealership club ride they wanted to go up to a Indian PowWow in Cowtown NJ and the sport bikes decided to head out early from NJ we decided to head back on RT9 it is very twistie. We came into town only to get behind a 20 bike parade of leather clad 1% we followed them for about 2 miles at 25 mph I dont ride 25mph. They rode two by two like Noahs critters I got to a straight away and pulled a 3 gear wheelie straight up the middle of them on my CBR900RR set her down about 90 pulled her out to about 150 every one else went around them wide open they talked about that wheelie for ever said the harleys spread out like roaches when the lights come on. I saw a real good friend that was in the group of harley bad boys and he said when they got to the New Castle flea market the Sgt of Arms said did you see that crazy Son of a Bitch he was a damn nut . Balls , Babes ,and Bad Ass Play Toys if you cant go fast go the hell home and always live one foot over the edge and if you feel yourself falling jump never regret anything when in doubt get on the gas that is how I got to being old. But I always remember how to twist the throttle thats why I ride a Bville not a S3 I would be right back to 20 + plus points taking defensive driving course to lower my insurance.

You are going to like my Speed Triple! It loves to wheelie and I mean long wheelies!

I would like it the RR liked to wheelie up out of the corners and that was a little hairy at times. I might be getting a S3 06 black for 2500 with 3600 miles LOL. Mom is pissed son lost his license and she is selling the bike.
