2020 Bennington Triumph Bash canceled; 2021 instead!

Postby mark » Fri Apr 17, 2020 3:17 pm

Hi everyone.

Unfortunately, at this point given the COVID-19 situation, we're forced to cancel the 2020 Bennington Triumph Bash. We have no choice in the matter; Vermont's accommodations are not allowed to accept reservations before June 15, and the reservations already on the books cannot be honored. It's also unlikely that restaurants will be back to normal in time for the Bash, and large gatherings will almost certainly still be banned.

So sadly, for the first time since we started the Bennington Triumph Bash in 2008, we have to cancel it this year. But we do fully intend to get back to it in 2021, so pencil in next year's dates: June 4-6, 2021!

Also, depending on how the situation evolves, we may look at putting together a small, informal weekend get-together in the fall sometime, but it will not be a delayed Bennington Triumph Bash.

In the meantime, please keep yourselves and your families safe and healthy!

I just called to cancel my reservation and Phillip asked me to remind everyone that even if you forget to cancel, they won't be charging you.

It's the right call, perfectly.

I have these vehicle stickers I was going to bring. Black for light vehicles, and white for dark vehicles.

If anybody wants one, let me know your color choice at ejbolton [at} myfairpoint.net and I will send them out till they are gone. I have 35 of them, about half black and half white.

I'm bored! couldn't go to the Tail of the Dragon, couldn't go to Bennington, couldn't go to California to ride Angel's Crest with my sons; so I bought another bike. Got a new Street Triple R. I know; I'm going to kill myself, but I'll go with a smile.
Sure do hope to see everyone in 2021

Nice. I bought a Tiger 900 Rally Pro. Have gotten a lot of use out of it too, just nowhere far away yet.

Cyclewise has sold a lot of them this year!

Update: we still can't make June happen, but with vaccines getting into arms and restrictions likely easing this summer, we're postponing instead of canceling this year.

So, new dates for the 2021 Bennington Triumph Bash: October 1-3!

I just bought a 2021 Street Triple R. You get the TFT display, mine doesn't...but I get the Quickshifter.

Hoping to be able to make it in October. I hope the Paradise isn't all booked up when I make reservations.

I hope this is still ON.

Reservations made at the Paradise Inn. All I could get was a 2 double bed Premier room, but maybe my son can join me.

It's on. i just heard from another member that the Paradise is all booked. Just a reminder that all blocked rooms are released to the public 60 days prior to the event as noted on the lodging page.

Also, bear in mind there will be a number of us up at the Greenwood campground. I know not everyone likes to camp, but it's an option for those who don't mind it, and we have a good time sitting around the campfire in the evening.

I called ramuntos this week. they will deliver to the Paradise. So if we end up tailgating on sat evening, we can get a bunch of food delivered for the crowd.
