Christ, I really haven't been paying attention lately. Congrats on the Tiger, Paul! I know what you're talking about -- my 2011 XC still puts a big smile on my face every time I ride it (and it has about 103,000 miles on it now). Triumph really knocked the ball out of the park with the Tiger 800.

But speaking of Scramblers, I'm thinking my next bike is going to have to be the Scrambler 1200 XE. Triumph has built exactly the bike I was saying two years ago I wanted.

No riding for me at the moment. I rode 250 miles with friends at the beginning of November, rode to work the next Monday, then that Friday got almost a foot of snow. And since then, it's kept snowing an inch here, two inches there, not enough to really build up but enough to keep the roads messy. This winter sucks already, and we're barely into December. By February I'll be losing it.

Thanks Mark. Finally stopped raining and remained warm yesterday so rode to work. Still as awesome as I remember.

So yeah, I gave in to temptation and put down a deposit on a Scrambler 1200 XE. Apparently Triumph is telling National Powersports that it should arrive in February, but I'll be shocked if it's there before March.

But regardless, looks like I'll be showing up to the BTB on a Scrambler this year.

I missed the last few BTB's, then I got hit with a bout of Lymphoma back in 2017, which i finally gained remission Just last November. Started back to work in December. I have a scan in March to see if I'm still disease free, But i feel pretty good, and am stronger all the time.
I did get out and ride a few times last summer when I got strong enough to throw a leg over a bike. I am hoping to make it up this year, but I'll probably trailer up since I'm not sure how I'll do on a 5+ hour ride...

I bought a 2011 Speed3 a few months before I got sick, so I'll probably bring that.

Mine has been in the garage on the tender and on stands. I have been bringing my son out here and there to put him on it and make engine noises. He smiles and slaps the tank excitedly every time. I bring him back in the house, then go back to the garage and do the same for myself.

Put several miles on both bikes over the weekend and even though the Scrambler feels like a pig for the first few miles after riding the Tiger she still has her special something. Don't know if I will be able to get rid of her.

Riding the Tiger today also. Weather has finally given us a break down here.
