RIP Bennington Station

Postby mark » Tue Mar 13, 2018 1:36 pm

Hey everyone.

I found out yesterday that the Bennington Station, where we had many of our Saturday dinners until they no longer had a banquet room, and where many of us gathered for drinks and food, has shut down permanently.

It's too bad; Bob Andrew and his staff treated us well and served delicious food. I wish them well for the future, and I'll miss stopping in there for lunch or dinner when I'm in Bennington.

Another in the list of BTB haunts that's gone out of business... :(

Dang, they were a nice place for a meal even in smaller groups. Hope something good takes over the building.

Yes, Yes we did.

That Mex restaurant was pretty damn good too. Also miss the two crazy Russian girls bakery.

Lots of changes in the Bennington dining scene over the past 8 years I've been going.

Here is another place that may be a good place to meet for dinner. Its 2 blocks from the station:

I have already checked this place out on line and will give it a shot since I'll be up on 5/30.
