Hey John, there are a lot of Tiger guys at the bash now. You will have lots of company.
They almost take over the Paradise, well they try to anyway. :) hanging there own banner, "Bennington Tiger Bash" Lol.
A lot of Great guys.

Let me know when or if you plan to go see Steve, at Swansea Triumph.
Maybe I can swing by and say hi ? Looking forward to seeing and riding with you again.

Hey BILL, I'm waiting until April to pick up a new bike. Haven't ordered it yet and I'm not sure of the days or weeks it takes from order to delivery. I'll let you know the day. Maybe we can get Marty too for a christening ride.
I've got to finish a few months here at work before I'll make final decisions and hope nothing spoils them. My plan is to get the bike a couple of months prior to the Bash to get a feel for it. Then ride up to Bennington hopefully with you and Marty. Join a Bash group ride Saturday and then early Sunday head solo to Utah to meet up with my brother and go from there to parts of Wyoming and Montana. Eventually heading south to just outside L.A. to see my daughter and then the long ride back east. Similar distance as in 2008. Maybe a bit longer.
This time I hope I have a bike I don't have to feed oil to everyday! Haven't ridden since fall of 2008. Long story. This will be interesting and probably my last long run. The key is to stay as healthy as I can for as long as I can so I can do this.
I'm looking at the Triumph Tiger Explorer XRt loaded. (Retirement present to myself) After learning from last cross-country's loop, I want power and upright comfort. Big, heavy bike! Maybe I better get back to the gym! The key is to never drop it. I'd never get it up again! (The bike, Marty!) It's all good.
As for Marty's earlier suggestion of Pillion, NEVER.

Hey John,

Looking forward to your return. What Billy says is true about Tigers taking over the Bash. Of course there is an unsavory trend among Tiger owners moving to Moto Guzzi, but that's a rant for another day. Anyway, just a heads up on your plans. Two Tiger owners always leave the Bash on Sunday morning about 5:30 am heading directly west to Buffalo on the NYS Thruway. Included in that group is the aforementioned owner of the "Bennington Tiger Bash" banner. If you are interested in making time, and a little company at our one pit stop, you are more than welcome.
