It has been eerily quiet for this close to the bash. Numbers for the BBQ & the dinner are down over years past so far. Maybe the Paradise being sold out isn't an indicator for attendance. Maybe its just because the Kirkside closed, but that was closed last year as well.

When I saw the "peeps" post I thought you were planning on having those little yellow marshmellow bunnies at the bash!

Not showing off a new bike or anything like that (Gerry's Guzzi probably still has that New Bike smell anyway, and hopefully there'll be a new Tiger, Bonnie or Thruxton to check out) but definitely looking forward to seeing the Usual Suspects, getting cold and probably wet up at Greenwood (oh, hey, new cot! Super excited to maybe sleep through the night!), seeing the bike lineup at the overlook on the way to the BBQ (then splitting before getting wrapped up in the usual train), getting some good riding in over the weekend, Thanksgiving dinner in June, etc. etc.

Y'all have a fun drive up - you'll still only have four wheels total between you, right?

I've been thinking the same thing, very quiet in here for this time in the year.
Still hoping for a good turnout.

Jim,

Why yes, it does still have the new bike smell & looks like she just came off the show room floor. :lmao:

Can't wait to leave. I'll be up on 6/1 if anyone is going to be around that early.

Yeah, it's been weird. We still have fewer than 50 dinner registrations. By this time last year we were sold out. Several sponsors have dropped out too (because they shut down or our contact there left).

I guess we'll need to work on promotion for next year.

That said, it's been a weird season so far in general. I've been riding solo a lot because my entire group of riding friends has either been busy with work or home stuff, focused on riding dirt only, or just plain unmotivated. I never used to have trouble finding at least one person to go riding with; this year, not so much.
