Thanks to all - a great bash this year

Postby sevy » Sun Jun 01, 2014 7:07 pm

It was nice to ride with some new people this year, and I liked the site and food Saturday night even better than the Station. Many thanks to Mark and crew for being so generous with their time and energy, and the sponsors for providing the prizes.
It was especially nice to talk with Robin and Paul and hear the story of the original bash. It is very generous of them to offer the free tour of the Barber Museum and the use of their couch to the winner.
Looking forward to next year. Safe riding everyone!

+1 on thanks to everyone. Our table thought the Country Club was a big improvement over the Bennington Station.

Great Bash! Mark did a fantastic job in leading the Adirondacks ride- it was my favorite ride of all my BTBs to date (4 and counting).

I agree that dinner was a big improvement over years past. More room, a nice outdoor space, good bar, friendly, fast service... a win all around.

Thanks to Alan, Mark, Jim and everyone else who helped to make this a reality!

This was my first Bash and I'll be coming back for more. I did the dirty ride and learned much from Dave and he let all of us take it at our own pace. We had 4 Tiger 800's there out of 7 total on the ride.
Not having seen the old venue for the banquet, I can only say that I liked the club. The service, location and food were all good.
I'll be back and am looking forward to the Tracy road in NY.
Thanks to all for your work and friendship.

Another first basher here. Son and I really enjoyed the entire event... the rides, the guys, the cookies, the fellowship, the paradise, the BBQ. What a treat, special thanks to all who put this together, these things don't just "happen"; your work was really appreciated. Great dinner venue.

An interesting side note, I've been thinking of moving to a different bike, after all the positive comments I got on my TBS I realized I didn't really appreciate what I had. The ride back to Cooperstown was fantastic on my "new" ride. Thanks for the fresh perspective.

Thanks again to Mark, Alan and Robin & Paul! I also want to thank Brian & Bill for the info on Kimball's and the Cathedral of the Pines. Thanks to Jim Hamlin for all the great advice. Thanks to Rich & K of F for the help on the way home after the kick stand failure. Also to Jeff, Brian & Matt for letting me ride with you guys (sorry for ditching you after the 10 car line and trailers!!!) I did enjoy the National Forest though. I enjoyed the country club as well. Special thanks to Cap for keeping me entertained in the pkg lot at The Paradise! next year we are going for the record, 5 Scramblers!

"Attica...Attica....Attica....."

I had a blast! What a friggin' hoot!

Dudes, I'm lookin' forward to more of the same....

I met some truly awesome people..... you know who you are...

Ain't it kinda funny how you can bond with perfect strangers, when you have similar interests, and life experiences? ....and motorcycling is for some of us a pretty intense pastime... so I think "the bonding" can be even more intense to reflect the nature of the sport.

Hey, think about it, who sits an office and drives a cage everyday and does'nt dream about headin' out on the highway, lookin' for adventure and whatever comes their way?

Peace and love,
Cappy

does anyone recognize this guy? I found him wandering around the parking lot at The Paradise muttering about motorcycles and he had a wad of cash in his hand, he might have had a beer nearby too. He was probably a vagrant who just rolled someone...

Another first timer here.

Thanks to all who helped put this on and to those who told me I shouldn't miss it.

I enjoyed the ride through the Catskills to get there, (most of) the Vermont ride on Saturday, the dinner and the long way back to Binghamton on Sunday. Mostly, I enjoyed the people - from finally riding with Jim to conversations at dinner and in parking lots.

An enjoyable, memorable weekend.

It's awesome to see all the first timers posting up about their experiences; that's one of the many great things this is all about!

Thanks to everyone involved, I had a fantastic time being a part of the event, meeting a bunch of new people, and seeing old friends. Got in 902 miles on the weekend which from people's Facebook ride reports seems to be on the low side!

Always an adventure, always a blast!

Thanks to everyone who helped create a great weekend. I am another first timer, although I have been wanting to come for the last 4 years. Everyone was really welcoming, and I had a great time on the Appalachian ride (even though I usually hate group rides.)

It was worth the 100 mile round trip to ride with you guys for a day.
