I notice there are two commercial campgrounds near Lake Willoughby in northern Vermont one just south of it and one just to the north. Anyone ever stay at one or the other or can offer any beta? Thanks

Those are likely to be seriously RV-clogged. Lake Willoughby is a beautiful spot, but it's popular.

There are campgrounds in nearby Brighton State Park and Maidstone State Forest; haven't been to the Brighton one, but the Maidstone campground is fairly nice.

Thanks Mark...

It is good to have options, and I am not totally into camping with Unidentified Flying Winnebagos, (but I will if I have to.) I also found Black Turn Brook State Forest which has primitive camping, which sounded kinda interesting. I will be coming into Vermont from NH at Canaan so I will see where I'm at and what time it is when I start to think about where I should head for the night.

Also thanks for your efforts in organizing this thing....

Aloha
