Bennington Triumph Bash

Thanks Mark for mentioning them in one of your ride report threads. I just got my Tiger out of storage today, and it was my first chance to ride on my new Renazco seat. 187 miles of bliss. Worth every penny. Now I've got to get ahold of Jim to get a KOF cover.

Awesome. I love my Renazco seat.

I'm actually really curious how many Tiger seats Jim Renazco has made. Aside from yours and mine, I've never seen/heard of any other Tigers with one. Most Tiger owners seem to go for one of the mass-market options.

I had a Rocky Mayer seat custom made for my Legend. It is pretty good, and a big improvement on the stocker. This Renazco seems to work better for me, but to be fair, the Tiger riding position is different than my Legend, so that will also be a factor. It was also very cold yesterday, so sweating was not an issue. It will be interesting to see how it feels in the hot weather. I do like the suede on the Renazco, as it sticks to my riding pants, making it easy to slide a bit to reposition the pants and riding tights when necessary. The foam is pretty stiff, but it felt good, and the workmanship is first rate.

I've made covers for several guys in the Pacific NW with suede inserts. I'm also the official for Rocky at Bill Mayer Saddles and will be with him and the crew in MN for the national BMWMOA rally. I may have to tape over my Triumph logo!

Jim, for what it's worth, Renazco uses the stock seat pan, so the resulting seat is essentially the same shape as stock. In my seat's case, the difference is in foam stiffness and the shape of the seat's surface. I had him make mine flatter than stock as the stock shape is way too dished for me.

I chose not to go with the suede surface since my Tiger gets subjected to wet weather too often.

The older steaner seats were much more generous than Mark's 800. I'll post up some pictures soon and send you some dimensions.

No need. Stock pan will use A-100 seat cover. BTW-if you look at the testimonials on the web site you'll see that your seat will NEVER get wet.
Unlike some so-called 'waterproof" stuff in our sport-and we ALL have the useless gloves, boots, and such that said they were but are not-SplitWeight(tm) covers will not allow any water to pass. Not sometimes, not only in a light rain, not for just 1/2 hour-never.
Buy it right and buy it once. In everything.

I stand corrected. The B-150 I shipped is a tad small. Gonna try a DP mod cover.

What would be the proper size for a '09 1050 Sprint ST (unfortunately "Old Blue" , the '01 Sprint ST is gone).

I still have the old one from the '01 but it's WAAAAAY too big.

The bilke came with a Triumph Gel seat that I had to have re-shaped so I could ride it longer that 45 minutes.





I recently got a stock seat off ebay that I have to put on and get in some riding time.

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend the Bash this year.

Happy to report that the DP mod fits perfect.

Now Gerry, I'll need approx. L x W measurements to determine what you will need. Sorry you can't make The Bash, but, as they say, first things first.

I forget what exactly I paid for mine. It's somewhere in the neighborhood of $400. And worth every penny.

If you decide to get a Renazco seat, get in touch with them by mid-summer (there's a long waiting list), and arrange to have your seat built over the winter. They build on your original seat pan, so you need to send them your seat in time for your build appointment, then you get it back a couple of weeks later.
