Just an intro...

Hi....I'm new here...I registered a week or so ago and this is my first post. I learned about the Bennington Bash completely by accident and am really psyched to attend this years festivities.

Let me introduce myself.....I have a 2012 Bonnie and I have only had it for a year and I have only been back into motorcycling for a year or so.

I wanted another Trumper since I had been a motorcycle enthusiast when I was kid and although I loved all my previous rides I really fell for my old Bonneville. Anyway after a few bikes in the 60s and 70's....a BSA, a Honda, a Norton and my last being a 70 Bonnie which I gave up in 1982...I was out of the game..marriage, job and kids kept me away from motorcycling for many years in the interim...

I occasionally toyed with purchasing another off and on for many years...but the old lady said no or I did'nt have the dough...anyway...the kids are out of the house...the old lady said no again...but I over ruled her and am totally into it again since last year.

Hope to meet people at the Bash and have a good time...and maybe meet some others in Maine or New England who want to ride and camp and maybe fly fish while riding and camping. I am a fishing guide btw....

With a name like that I hope you're using a right-handed rod flipped over! Hendrix fans-let them figure it out!

Welcome-and you'll have a wonderful time at The bash.

I also fly fish, but less often since getting the second Triumph! If you post your location, you may get some tips on some nice spots to wet your line along the way. (sorry, that wasn't meant to sound dirty)

Welcome!

Never mind the Western NY guys, I'd be wary of anyone on a Tiger 1050... :lmao:

Welcome, and congratulations on knowing it's easier to ask forgiveness than to ask permission!

You had a MUCH longer layoff than me. I sold out in 1983 when my oldest boy was 2, but bought again in 1997 and have had bikes since. Only one (the 1997 buy) wasn't a Triumph. Myself, though my first bike in 1976 was a '73 Bonneville 750, the second in 1978 was a Trident 750 and I've been hooked on Triumph triples ever since. As long as they're making them, I'm buying!

Anyhow, I'm sure you already appreciate having a bike that needs little wrenching, rarely marks it's spot, has far better brakes, handling and tires.
